Discovery Cove has NOTHING to brag about when it comes to the food as an added bonus for the price of the ticket. The only thing is it’s an All You Can Eat.

Breakfast is lower quality hotel buffet. Ive had holiday inn buffett i’ve enjoyed more. And there was NO butter. How do run out of (or not have at all) butter?!?!

Lunch was slightly better.
Wraps, burgers were dessicated hocky pucks, salad was really good, pulled pork and another beef thing that was over cooked and slathered in some kind of sauce. Not good.
Coconut salmon with the sauce on it was edible. Cous cous was good. Side veggies were overcooked. Ceviche was like a salsa with baby shrimp thrown in.
Food for the masses.

The pizza outside of this establishment in another hut saved the day.

This is the buffet where you get breakfast and lunch. Unlimited. They serve breakfast from before park opens to 10:30. Lunch from 11:00 to 3 sharp. You can take as much as you want and go through the line as often as you want. Beer and wine coolers. Coke products.

I’ve gone to DC 3 times now and the food has declined a little each time.. bring back the crab salad sandwich!

At breakfast the pastries and muffins are so so. I liked the French toast sticks and sausage patties. At lunch I didn’t care for the Hawaiian chicken. Not very tasty.

There is plenty of outdoor seating, mostly covered. You can take your food to eat on a beach if you like.

Restroom is close by.

My suggestion is to take a small selection of items and get more of what you like and toss the rest.

We ate at the Laguna Grill when we visited Discovery Cove(18/07/2022) for both breakfast and lunch….the food was lovely….loads to choose from. From vegetarian to meat lovers… even catering to special requirements as I saw first hand with a little boy being allergic to eggs…so they made him his own food away from all other food. The staff are all lovely and can’t help enough. This is our third time here and we’ll definitely be back.

The new setup (no longer cafeteria style so service never backed up) and food options are great. The coconut crusted salmon was delicious. The best desert was a multilayered brownie that had peanuts and caramel on top.

The great part about having an all-inclusive park is that you do not have to think about where you are going to eat. This is a cafeteria-style restaurant, but they have many options for breakfast and lunch including snacks. There are many options for drinks: sodas, water, lemonade, tea, coffee, and icees. I had a wrap for lunch with ceviche and orzo salad.

Every thing about this establishment is awesome. The food was great and so was the people working. You do not have to take away your own trays or trash. You literally leave it on the table and the employees take it away. The birds also like to take the food off the plates which can be entertaining to watch. They are extremely smart!. The set up to get food is so simply and well organized. I would only suggest one thing and that would be for the employee who is informing guests that there are two breakfast stations on each side to walk out where we are and physically guide guests. The employee who was informing guests that there were two stations on June 6 2023 tried to be friendly but you could see their frustration grow as guests did not pay attention. If they would have walked out to our side of the counter and used arm gestures maybe they would have understood better and their tone would not have changed towards guests. The employee tried their best I give them that! Cannot wait to return!

Small selection of meal options. Food quality is reasonable… Similar to buffet quality on a cruise ship in my opinion. Staff is friendly and was willing to adjust some of the plating options when asked. For the cost of Discovery cove and the expectation of an all inclusive day, I was hopeful for better dining…. But honestly no one goes to Discovery cove for the food. It’s really about the opportunity to interact with aquatic creatures.

Laguna Grill is located inside the Discovery Cove day spa. Clean with friendly service. They had a variety of foods catering to breakfast and lunch fare. The setup is like a cafeteria where you get in line to be served select items and self-serve other food options to your tray, then walk away to wherever you want to be seated just outside. The food is ok depending on what you eat and if it’s prepared to your liking. It is all you can eat and drink, included within your spa package. It is open up to a certain time for breakfast and lunch. Watch out for the birds. If you leave food on the table unattended, they will help themselves to it.

The food selections are always decent, and there is enough variety for even the pickiest eaters. Breakfast is always a huge spread that feels more like a buffet, while lunch is more meal-based. Meals are always included for free during your day at Discovery Cove. Definitely cafeteria food, but still good.
