The Backyard Patch On Orbit
Location is decent, recently, like for the whole month of October they are closed or the employee is going on break, doesn’t matter if I go in the morning, afternoon or around 5pm. This past Monday I went around 3:30, and they were closing at 4. It would be better if they had consistent hours. For the times I’ve gone, the employee would tell me, I am closed, I’m going on break, I’ve been told the break would be 1-3 hours. That’s insane!

This Starbucks did not have their priorities straight at all.The worker needed extra assistance from a Kroger worker in a different department to help her make drinks. Three people who ordered after me got their order first, which is not the way it should be done. They didn’t go in the correct order when making drinks, and horrible attitude towards customers.

It’s Sunday the first Sunday in October and I just had to leave Starbucks empty-handed because the girl did not know what decaf coffee was and did not have any coffee brewed at all and had never heard of half caff either. So I went across the street to 7-Eleven and poured the coffee in the cup myself which is about all Starbucks does unless they’re making milkshakes as far as I can tell

If I could give zero stars, I would!! Hunter and Jada were our baristas. My daughter and I decided to get a coffee before getting our nails done. She’s getting married on Sunday so we thought it would be a great mother/daughter time prior to the wedding. We walk up and my daughter says “oh that Andes Mint drink sounds so good!” I then order an Americano WITH room. He rings up only the Americano and I pay. I say…did you not get her order? The Andes Mint? He says no…that she didn’t order it and he ALWAYS listens so he KNOWS she didn’t order it. So we say we want it and he literally takes FOREVER to ring it up. It’s a grande and the price keeps going higher and higher. He finally says that’s the price, $7.75 and tells Jada that he will figure out the whole price later. He then proceeds to figure the price out while Jada is making my Americano. She gives me my coffee and tells me to be careful because it’s hot. I ask for half and half and she says ok. She then makes the Andes Mint drink and takes approximately 8-10 minutes to make it (no lie!) She finally gives my daughter her drink and again I ask for some half and half. I open the cup and ask her to pour a little out to make a little more room. Hunter then pipes up and says “ we always make the coffee black so that you can go home and doctor it up the way you want.” First off, if I said “leave room” it would indicate I wanted cream in it. Second off, I’m clearly not going “home” as I’m here for a wedding and I live in Florida!! Hunter’s attitude was just completely rude!! And the icing on the cake? Her Andes Mint coffee is TERRIBLE!! Would NOT recommend this Starbucks!!

One star for an okay latte. I only stop at Starbucks Smithfield Kroger out of convenience. Staff is always rude. I just now bought a latte and the two baristas were discussing weed while making my drink. I don’t understand why its ok with Kroger to have people like this representing their organization. It’s been going on for years, and the proof is in these reviews.
I much prefer Cure Smithfield. A bit more expensive, but always top notch customer service. I could kick myself for giving this Starbucks another chance today. Never again.
Review edit:
Major changes in this Starbucks location with staffing has resulted in much better service. I will visit frequently.

This is the absolute worst Starbucks in history. The trans that works there always has an attitude towards everyone, they can’t even make a simple drink properly. 10/10 don’t recommend unless they get all new staff and actually LEARN the menu and ingredients in the drinks. I will always drive to Newport for Starbucks. So much more worth it.

This Starbucks needs an upgrade on their baristas. For this is the fourth time I had tried to give this Starbucks business. Because I know sometimes mistakes happen and I wanted to give it another chance because it’s the closest one to us and I usually come a lot usually to the one on centerbrook lane which is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! . The coffee here taste old and instead of using sweet cream. They are just using regular foam, The coffee taste watery and old, so i’m guessing maybe they need to clean up their machines and take out the old coffee and replace it with new coffee. Always, I know losing my business does not matter to them but I will never be back to this location! Centerbrook lane in suffolk is the way to go! They have the best coffee and the employees actually take their time and make it.

This is the absolute worst Starbucks that I have ever been to. I have had countless issues, but the one that I encountered today really takes the cake. The he/she that is supposedly the leader of the Starbucks there has got to be the rudest person I have ever encountered. Why someone that is blatantly rude to customers for no apparent reason is a leader of the Starbucks – I have NO idea. No wonder the service is usually awful no matter who it is because he makes them think it is ok. I went in yesterday after ordering a drink on the app. I walk in, and they tell me that they are closed. Ok- why is the app on and why does everything online say you are open? They proceed to get an attitude about it with no resolution for a refund (this was a different staff member) so I just leave, not getting my money back or anything. I go in this morning to try to get said drink, and as soon as I walk in, a lady tells me they aren’t opening until 9. No where online says this, and not to mention- I watched them make and hand over a coffee to an older man already in there ??? It was 10 minutes until 9, so I just stood there to wait. The he/she decides to start hollering out “9 o’clock, 9 o’clock, 9 o’clock!” To me, to which I said, I know. Then not even 2 minutes later, he is gawking me down and tells me that I need to go find something to do and walk around the store until 9 instead of standing there. Meanwhile, nothing is said to the older man in there either that they gave a coffee to. Only me. I didn’t come in there to shop at Kroger- I came there to get either my money back or a coffee- so I told him I was fine just right where I was. I couldn’t believe the way he was speaking and that someone is allowing him to speak to customers- so I went to the Kroger associates desk to find out who the manager was and much to my surprise, he/she is the leader of the Starbucks. Starbucks corporate was phenomenal handling the issue for me, but they did let me know that any more issues- PLEASE call them immediately.

The “gentleman” working this morning was EXTREMELY rude (he has an attitude every time I’ve seen him at this location, but this morning specifically). Went to just order a cake pop and upon walking up was just given a rude and annoyed expression and told “oh it’s going to be a minute, I have way too many” – no one was in line or even standing around the Starbucks area. For someone working in customer service, he is ALWAYS the opposite of approachable and seems to be annoyed with even be there.
