It was a friendly atmosphere. The gentleman behind the counter knew everyone coming in by name. I love hole in the wall places like this.
He told me I was going to like what I ordered and it was wonderful potato soup. Bonus, I paid $6 for a bowl of soup and a Sprite.
It was so good, I brought my husband back for breakfast.

Enter the building from the 3rd Street entrance, I went in from the 4th Street after Google said I had arrived but there was no signage to direct me. I stopped inside “wild eggs” for directions, very friendly. After I made it to the other side of the building and down a floor, the front entrance was easy to find, right next to the third Street entrance. I originally ordered the meatloaf melt with a bowl of the twice baked potato soup but was informed that the meatloaf was not ready since they had just changed over to lunch, no big deal, changed it to the big papa. Moments later I was informed that the twice baked potato soup was also out of stock right now. I initially changed to the bowl of spicy chili but ultimately had the soup refunded. The soup was honestly a big draw for me when I chose what restaurant to eat at. I ultimately chose to go two blocks to another restaurant specifically for a bowl of loaded potato soup. The big papa with the side of grippos was delicious, very fresh. I almost forgot to mention that the staff was friendly and helpful.

I ran into the owner Mike Baker on the register…he was very rude, and quite unprofessional. I asked for a side of pickles to go with my lunch he then said, “Yes I could have some” so as I start to walk to the guy who usually gives it for free.
Mike then says it’s not free, as I start to pull out my wallet I then ask, well how much is it? He says, “It’s 50 cents, I guess”
After hearing him barely know how much it was, I looked over and asked another one of the employees…Mike then explodes at me and says well it’s $1.00 now.
I look back at Mike ( Wallet still in hand ) and I say, well you just said it’s 50 cents…so how much is it for some pickles ?
Mike then gets upset and says you know what” I’m not selling you anything”.
I said “Ok, it’s not THAT deep it’s JUST pickles and you’re mad ” get a grip.
As I leave I hear him say something about that guy ( talking trash about me )
I then say out loud so he could hear me.
( Have a great day sir )
I’m sure me laughing in his face burned him up inside.
Wouldn’t eat here.

Stopped in for the first time, wanted to grab a mom and pop breakfast sandwich. Didn’t disappoint. Yea, it was $7, but it was worth it. Eggs were soft, cheese was hot and melty. The croissant was soft and flaky. If this place was next to any chain, I’d go here every time for that sandwich. Will try the bagel next.

I go to this place every so often when I’m downtown to grab a quick lunch. They offer exceptional value in the downtown area with their menu, very reasonable prices (esp for downtown), and service. Their food is good, not going to knock your socks off or anything, but is perfect for a casual lunch at a great price for downtown. They’re sort of hidden away off of the street so usually not too crowded either. Give them a try!

We are visiting from Chicago and found this place on Yelp. It was absolutely amazing. The staff were so pleasant and friendly. The food was quick and easy. I have 2 kids with me, one is special needs. The food was easy for kids, eggs, French toast. Absolutely no complaints.
