I got the chicken lo mein and the crab cheese puffs!
I don’t mind waiting, especially for fresh food.
However, despite having my name & phone number on file — and walking in TWICE myself to check in on the status of my order I was never called or notified that my food was ready. Instead after the third time walking in, the lady behind the counter gestures like – there you go; goodbye.
So even though the food is delicious, the service makes it taste bitter.
I’m writing this on behalf of a close friend who had a very upsetting and discriminatory experience at this restaurant.
My friend was breastfeeding her infant at the table, and staff told her she could not breastfeed in the dining area and that her only option was to go to the restroom. Telling a mother to feed her baby in a bathroom is disrespectful, degrading, and completely unacceptable. No one should be told to eat in a restroom—especially a baby.
Breastfeeding is legal in all 50 states, and mothers should not be made to feel ashamed, harassed, or unwelcome for feeding their children. After speaking with the manager, the situation was handled poorly. Instead of apologizing or offering a supportive solution, they implied she was too young and that breastfeeding could “cause trouble” for other customers. That is discrimination, plain and simple.
To make things worse, they packed their food to go without being asked—clearly trying to push them out indirectly instead of addressing the situation with respect and professionalism. It felt like they just wanted them gone.
If you are a parent, have babies, or support breastfeeding mothers, I strongly recommend not coming here. This was supposed to be a family restaurant, but the way they treated two women with infants was inhumane and unacceptable.
If this is their policy, they should be honest and post a sign saying breastfeeding is not allowed—so families know ahead of time. Babies need to eat. They shouldn’t be forced to eat in a bathroom, and mothers should not be publicly shamed.
This experience was humiliating and heartbreaking, and the restaurant should publicly apologize and educate their staff on basic human decency and the law.
It sinked in after I was in my car with my baby and my friend and her baby were gone.
I went back in to talk to them again visibly upset. No empathy even when I told them legally they cannot forbid a mother from breastfeeding in all of the US.
Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
Potential customers should be aware that management is operating in direct violation of Texas Health and Safety Code § 165.002, which states: “A mother is entitled to breast-feed her baby or express breast milk in any location in which the mother’s presence is otherwise authorized.” Furthermore, the Texas Legislature has explicitly found that breastfeeding is a “basic act of nurture that must be encouraged in the interests of maternal and child health and family values” (Texas Health and Safety Code § 165.001).
By shaming a mother for a legally protected and essential act, this restaurant has shown a complete lack of respect for Texas families and the law. Discrimination and harassment have no place in our community. I strongly encourage the owner to educate themselves on state law and issue an apology before they face formal complaints with the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.
