I go to the Okemos location often and am always greeted by cheerful and helpful staff. My family loves their cookies and we are also grateful for the gluten-free goodies they have now too.

I am super sorry to share this disappointing review. We stopped in today and were expecting a delicious sandwich with some goodies on the side. When our sandwiches were delivered we were told they were out of chips (the only choice of side) and were not offered another option (nothing, even when we joked about sharing a cookie instead). She just said they didn’t have any. My husband had the BLT. It had one slice os bacon crumbled on it. When he went in to ask, because we had paid for extra bacon he was told, “sorry we are out of bacon.” Maybe before the sandwich was made we should have been told that. I had the chicken salad sandwich. As the picture shows there was so little chicken salad that I pushed it to one corner and only ate that. Overall is was very disappointing.

I stopped at Great Harvest for the first time yesterday for the sole purpose of buying fresh bagels. I bought 4 bagels for $6, 2 plain and 2 everything, which were individually wrapped. When I got home and opened one of the plain bagels there was a spot of mold on it a little larger than a pencil eraser. YUCK! I then opened one of the everything bagels and it was very tough and difficult to cut through. They did not look fresh at all. Needless to say I did not eat any of them so I wasted a special trip there and $6. Although the store presentation and service were good I will not be returning due to the stale and moldy products I received!!

Definitely one of the best sandwiches in the Michigan State University area! The bread is made fresh daily and you can really taste it! Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Free samples!

Visited the Okemos location today as I was in the area. No other customers in the store. After I made my purchase, the employee didn’t ask if I would like a slice of bread to go as in past visits. I said are you not offering a bread slice to go anymore? She then said ” oh you can have one” I had to ask what kind it was as she didn’t offer to tell me. I must say the bread and items I purchased were high quality and delicious! However, one of the trademarks of Great Harvest to me was always that slice to go. Why wouldn’t she offer it to me? She wasn’t busy.

No longer a regular visitor, but I stop by when I am in town. Nice to see a lot of new variety and products over the years.

Great service, great product. Everything I have tried is wonderful. This is a small business owned by locals, but with the perks of a larger chain. Staff is always great and helpful. Things are pricier here, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Update: gone really downhill. Now the cookies are behind glas so you can’t feel if they are soft. Got hard cookies again. Won’t be back…

Update: Thanks for replying. I would be ok if someone touched the cookies to test for softness. If they were actually soft and fresh, they would get purchased more. But since they are all hard as a brick, you won’t have to worry about that. Try making them fresh like others do and not having them sit for days/weeks.

The whole family loves this bread store. Cinnamon swirl bread is a favorite for our family but all their bread is delicious! They give a slice of bread as a sample which allows me and the kids to try the bread before we buy it. The bread is a little pricey but totally worth it and most days they offer half price day old bread. Love this place!

I am a big Great Harvest chain fan. The bread is always good here. Just be forewarned that this location doesn’t carry sandwiches anymore like typical, which is what I came here for.

Very disappointed with both Lansing MI locations. Went in to both locations asking for Dakota bread, and was greated with the same response “we only bake that on certain days”. I went in on a Friday and a Tuesday. Only one person working the counter in the Okemos store and was buried. A guy in the back hollered out to tell her to get the counter, but she was already waiting on 2 guests. I was about ready to walk when she asked In a hurry what I needed. Only to get an answer from the guy in back no Dakota bread till late evening or tomorrow. Great customer service. Won’t be going back to Lansing stores again!
