Based on my experience with the adjacent bar called The Hideout, my expectations were low and I was more looking forward to trying this place and to be done with it than the pizza itself. I’m very happy I enjoyed my pizza. I got the Mikey’s pizza to go which was a little over $18 with tax. Seemed kinda high, but it does come with four toppings and they were pretty generous with them. The thin crust is hand tossed: not sure if this adds value to the taste, but it did add value to the prep. All pizzas are 14″ and I don’t believe they offer other types of crusts.
I have a couple of suggestions for the decor: You need a good sign. One at the end of the parking lot pointing to the restaurant and another outside the restaurant above the door. If I hadn’t been here before, I would have assumed that Ikey’s was no more since I only saw signs for The Hideout.
Also, don’t use the dinning area as storage. Whatever is under the tarp by the front door needs to go.
I could see myself going back if I was nearby, but couldn’t help think of two other pizza places nearby and more on my way home that I enjoy more.

A cute little hole in the wall hidden away on North Oak. I’m glad we stumbled upon this place a little over a year ago. It seems that every time we go the food is never a disappointment. It is always fresh, never burnt. The staff is always making sure to keep your drinks filled and is on top of your needs. Even when it is busy. They have a wide variety of appetizers, salads and pizza. I highly recommend trying this place out next time you get a craving for pizza!

I have been a returning customer ever since I tried it. Last time I ordered to pick up they had a 5 min longer than expected delay when i came in so they offered me a free beer while I waited. 5 star food, 5 star customer service!

Pizza, wings, and mozzarella wedges were all delicious. Don’t let the exterior fool you.. This place is amazing.
When we came in they were really busy but we were still seated right away. Got our drinks right away. Since they were a bit busy it did take a little but for them to take our order. The owner was waiting tables and was awesome. Since we r has to wait a bit to order, he gave us free mozzarella wedges. Then we only ordered 4 wings and they have us 6. He brought us boxes with out us even asking.
Ikey gave us a great experience and great food. We will definitely be back!

A little hard to find and combined with a bar. I haven’t eaten on site as we always do carry out but the pizza is excellent. With NY-style-ish pizza you can often get places that skimp on the cheese, that is not the case here. Between the available sides and pizza toppings there is something my whole family likes. Only complaint is that if the bar is busy it can be a pain in the butt to park in that strange parking lot. I still haven’t tried some of the their stranger options like the gumbo but they have it listed! Prices are a little high but still reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients. Would be great if they started delivering! Hardly anything in the northland delivers and it would be a great way to make this pizza easier to get since it is already in a difficult spot to get to and/or notice from the road.

One of our favorite local spots. Angela is star. The wings are ginormous and delicious. They have live music multiple days per week. Give it a try and don’t forget to also tip the pizza guy if you order hand-tossed pizza.

Well first off the place is in the hide out so we had hard time finding it after the turn where large sign off n. Oak. Ordered from outside and person that took our order did not turn it in and left. So we had to stay an extra 35 mins after the first order to get the pizza . They gave us a discount for the wait. Was it worth waiting for …..no. I have had better frozen pizza’s not enough cheese or other toppings . Still looking for that perfect pizza in the northland..they no long have a yeast taste to crust. The only place I’ve found is oridginal pizza in blue springs they use to be at metro north…… place could take lessons in how to make pizza from them. To bad the dont have a store over here anymore. Still on the search……..

I’m stuffed. First time in and ordered a pizza here. Toppings were fresh and cheese was decent. Crust was excellent. It’s a bit light on sauce – I recommend a little extra! Service was quick and very friendly. Restrooms were tidy and clean. I’ll be back. Thanks guys

Have loved taking the family to Ikeys pizza for years. We love the cheese pizza and calzones, it’s our go to that we drive for when we are craving pizza. The last we went about 2 weeks ago the always awesome extreme cheese pizza was a complete meltdown, I mean letdown. The used to be stringy fall off the pizza cheese was barely existent with a lot of seasoning on top. We asked the cook if they changed their ingredients because something seemed off. The cook said the manager or owner changed how much cheese was allowed but didn’t really know. Hopefully this isn’t the case. This review may seem silly all over cheese pizza but we think it’s the best in KC! The service is amazing especially from the bartender/waiter that runs all over!
