I visited South Block today and ordered the Dubai Açaí Bowl. While I usually love açaí bowls and don’t mind paying more for quality, I was really disappointed with the portion size. For the price, the amount I received was very small and did not feel worth the cost. I’ve enjoyed South Block in the past, but this experience left me unsatisfied and upset. I hope the company considers improving portion sizes to better match their pricing.

I wanted to share an updated experience at South Block. My daughter and I ordered the Dubai açaí bowl, and the portion was great this time — we were both really happy with it. I had previously reached out to management about a concern, and I truly appreciate that they listened and made things right. It means a lot to see a business care about customer feedback. We left satisfied, and my daughter and I will definitely be coming back.

I absolutely adore south block and am so glad they are expanding. i looked forward to my south block as a treat for myself. when this location opened up everyone was so kind but when I go in now, it feels different.
I have been ordering the same thing since 2023 and never had an issue. I know i sound crazy but I get triple nutella on my bowl. I pay extra $3 every time, no issue, but now whenever I order, it’s as if I didn’t order extra. I asked the employee if it was triple nutella and she said the bowls are only “4 point” and that no matter what I order I will just get the same amount?
The first photo is the bowl that supposedly had “triple” nutella versus the next photo is what I always received.
I am sad because I always looked forward to it but now the employees act as if it’s a favor that they are providing me what I paid for.

One of my favorite locations! Not to say I’ve been to all South Block locations, but it feels like I am trying to hit them all. Hahaha..
The tables out front are nice. You can chill with your awesome bowl while watching parking lot traffic.
The crew here is nice and efficient. I haven’t gotten my fist bump yet, but at least least my order is always here ready waiting for me when I order online.

Ordered pick up and my order was ready before the estimated time, the storefront was clean, and the employees were welcoming and friendly! Got the Dubai chocolate açaí bowl and it was delicious!! Love the pistachio butter! 10/10 recommend!

I’ve loved the old town Alexandria south block locations for years so I was excited to try this new one out. The Acai bowl I got was good, however I had to wait over 15 minutes for it to be prepared. I was the only new customer in the store during this time; around 3pm on a Tuesday. I also was a little frustrated that the spoons were in a slightly dirty bowl without any plastic covering. Doesn’t feel super sanitary to me.

Wake up in the morning, feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck…thirsty as hell and fiending for a little fructose. Heard a rumor about this new spot that South Block was opening up nearby. Figured I’d check it out, see if it’s the real deal.
I track down this place, and who do I see? Antonio, the same dude who was running the show from last time I was at South Block in Ashburn. He remembers me, remembers my order – legend! We shoot the breeze for a bit, he whips up my drink, and we smack fists and intensely lock eyes like true homies. The whole crew there is chill, fast, and made the grand opening a total vibe.
Definitely coming back, broskis. This place is the spot.

I work near by and they’re just awesome. Everyone seems genuinely down to earth and cool. They remember your orders, greet you by name, and if they’re not serving you, they still say what’s up. I personally look a little “wild” and or “unhinged” but they don’t care! . The customers will look at me crazy before the staff does. They’ve got a good bunch here. ❤️

Really great bowls and smoothies, staff is very nice. but I suggest you order it ahead, especially on the weekends. I’ve waited 30 minutes to get a bowl on a Saturday more than once. It’s a popular place!
