You know the cake is too good when you forget to take a photo because you were too busy digging into it. It’s hard to find good Black forest cakes nowadays (some are too sweet, some are too mushy, some come with hard oily cream, some have no cherries-what is the point) but Maia’s Bakery really hits the nail on this wonderful cake. The flavor was delicate & balanced, the cherry flavor was layered with just the right amount of cream filling & the outer icing was a mix of what tasted like smooth dark chocolate ganache – – making the cake not too sweet but just sweet enough with a delightful balance of fruity notes from the cherry and deep flavor of the chocolate. It is definitely easily one of the best whole cakes I ever had in a while. +also love their other pastries, the rolled pistachio one is godly.

Consistently delicious. We’ve had coffee, pastries, desserts, and pizza from Maia bakery. It’s certainly not cheap but quality ingredients and amazing flavor from a local spot. The sourdough pizza was delicious. We tried the pepperoni slice & a mozzarella, ham & red pepper slice both were incredible. Photo was of the chocolate mousse. Small but mighty, incredibly rich. We split between three of us & it was a great treat.

I have ONE place saved to my favorites on google and it’s Maia’s Bakery. We went one time and I had to be stopped from ordering one of everything. Croissants – best you’ve ever had. Sandwiches – divine even as leftovers the next day. Pizza – better than most pizzerias. We live in Stamford but will be coming back every other weekend at the minimum. And it helps that Maia seems to be an exceptionally genuine person. 100/10

Everything I have ordered and eaten from Maia’s is absolutely delicious! My favorites are the ham and cheese on baguette it’s so yummy they warm it up just enough and add butter to it which makes it perfect! I also love love love the pepperoni pizza! Moved nearby a few years ago and have yet to find my favorite pizza place, well I just found it! Lastly, all of the desserts I’m sure are so yummy but my favorite is the chocolate croissant I love how they have mini ones as well! The best!

Excellent pastry! This bakery is exquisite, a true delight for the palate. The flavors are well-balanced and satisfying. The texture is perfect, neither too dense nor too airy. Even the last bite offers the same delicious experience. It’s some of the best I’ve ever tasted. #cake #pizza #pastry #bread #yummy

The best croissants I’ve had since Paris. I was shocked to find such flaky ones in New Jersey.
The ham sandwich was also great and the baguette was super fresh. Perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can tell they use good ingredients here.
Coffee is from La Colombe which I appreciate.
I also had a sample of their pecan tart which was amazing. I’ll be getting a couple of those for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My favorite bakery. I first discovered the delicious blueberry scones, then the almond croissant. My new fave is the cardamom bun. Perfect! Miai’s also makes amazing specialty cakes – for the chocolate lovers in my family. And sourdough baguettes .

Anytime you stumble across a 5-star place that’s actually worth the rating, you gotta acknowledge it.
This is of the best pastry shops in Bergen County. It’s worth the trip and everything is so tasty. Don’t miss out on their Sourdough Seeded Baguette with Arugola or their breakfast sandwich on a croissant!

Incredible find in downtown Park Ridge. Maia’s Bakery is the real deal. Everything is baked fresh right there, and you can taste it. I asked, and Maia herself was working the counter and baking…so rare and so impressive.
The flat white was fantastic. Honestly, it’s as good as the one at Hugh Jackman’s Laughing Man Café in NYC (and he’s Australian, so that’s saying something!). The blueberry scone was soft, rich, and just-out-of-the-oven perfect. I also tried a cardamom bun, which I’d never had before: original, aromatic, and unforgettable.
Their ham and cheese baguette is exactly the right size for one person & is fresh, balanced, and satisfying. And the croissants? Excellent. Light, flaky, and full of flavor.
You can tell everything here is made with care, and the mix of great coffee and truly fresh, original pastries makes it a standout. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Maia!
