Charming little Korean restaurant, located in a Santa Clara business plaza that has several other larger Korean restaurants. This one is focused on “home style” cooking, and the small venue does make it feel like you’re eating in someone’s dining room. Menu is limited, and bonchan is just a small platter of kimchi. Food is very average. Friendly but slow service. Large free parking lot.

Family owned and a mini ban chan factory. Some of the freshest Gimbaps, made to order ❤️ .

Coming back to try the rest of their menu

Authentic Korean foods! We ordered kimchi pork belly kimbap, kimchi cheese fried rice with bulgogi, and fish cake soup. All of they are super delicious with reasonable price.

This place cooks the most authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced Korean dishes in the bay area. It is apparent that they actually care about how their food is cooked. My favorite is the Sujebi, Tuna Kimbob, and squid & pork hot stone pot (오징어 제육). Even the side dishes they have for take-out were so good.

Unfortunately not the best. What the others said is true, the dishes are too sweet. The tteokkbokki was very sweet in particular. You’re better off making at home. But the staff is kind, so I felt bad. They sell many side dishes, it seems to be more of a deli than an eatery.

A good snack restaurant to taste Korean snack food. The generous service and delicious cooking skills of the friendly owner are additional features. The price is very reasonable and it is individually packaged so you can buy pre-cooked Korean food and eat it at home. The kimbap is excellent, and the signature bean noodles, which are only available in the summer, are also the best. This is the only Korean restaurant in San Jose where you can taste instant tteokbokki.

Was craving kalguksu and this place hit the spot! Jalapeño tuna kimbap and spicy kalguksu were exactly the comfort foods I was looking for and they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting this authentic bunsik, wish I lived closer to try everything else on the menu!

Food: Got lunch for takeout from Kami and ordered on Grubhub. Beef kimbap were REALLY fantastic – they are stuffed with goodies. Bulgogi with rice was also top notch. Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) were decent but extremely pricy (the base version were $15). Portions are not huge (we finished everything from all three dishes between two of us)

Service: On time with takeout order, and the lady working was very nice

Atmosphere: We just got takeout, but the shop is tiny with just 2 small tables and no outdoor seating

Excellent place for authentic Korean food. It’s a small family restaurant. Feels very cozy. Food is great. Parking is ample at the plaza. Service can be slow at times. Menu is just one page but all items are excellent. Barely any wait.

I truly love Kami. In fact, my whole family loves it. It’s a much more casual Korean dining experience with what I’d call food that you can eat in Korea in tents after work or at a food alley. It’s not your typical Korean Restaurant. It’s perfect for when you return from a trip to Korea and crave Dukbeokki, Budae Jigae, Sujebi, Kimbap, etc. They literally have the most kid friendly dining options. Both of my son’s 7 & 10 said they could eat the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s how much they liked it! Tastes just like a grandma made it. To top it off the service was extremely warm and kind. We very much appreciated their attentiveness. We are thankful this place exists and would gladly come back again and again!
