Used to get Cuban here… so glad we tried Uncle Lee’s! Sushi was A+, Old Fashioneds were exactly to my liking (I prefer extra simple or cherry juice).
Great beer selection and staff was cordial and kind. The dessert (think funnel cake bits without the grease) was amazing and I don’t eat dessert. Light and airy.
Ahi Tuna was a bit pricey for the portion, but was good fish.
Will definitely go back.

This place is AMAZING, it’s always a gamble on restraunts like these but this might be the best Thai place I’ve every been to. We went Christmas eve and they were extremely accommodating and quickly seated us, I believe its also a family restaurant. The food was stellar, and not a single thing we took was even average. Everything was so good, that even my sick sister got their oxtail soup and ate more than she’s eating for the past two days. We got their holiday special sushi, which felt like some of the cleanest sushi I’ve ever had, but wasn’t plain or boring at the same time. Their fried rice was also amazing, and everyone had gotten something that we all liked the portions were all on the bigger end, and it’s also on the cheaper end so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.

Wonderful and nice people! Great customer service! We made a reservation on the phone and the lady was so nice and accommodating! Had the tuna tataki and tom yum soup. The soup has coconut milk in it and SO good! My friend got the oxtail pho and it was so good! I got the poke bowl and it was good! Definitely recommend!

Went to this place for the first time today. We live in Asheville and was just going to smaller cities that we have not visited and OMG. We saw this place leaving the mountain and I was hungry. And we were looking at the shop next door. And they opened at 1130 on Sunday so we were like. Why not……. and OMG. Im soooo happy I went here. I got box number 5 and the salmon is butter. It was so smooth and soft and delicious. And I have never liked ginger salads because everywhere I go they use that nasty iceberg lettuce. NOT THIS PLACE. This place has the BEST ginger salad I have eaten. And I mean I ate the whole salad. I always give my ginger salad to my husband, but not this time. And the veggie tom spicy soup. I know I didn’t put the whole names im sorry, that soup was so good. It was like a hug. I could eat a giant bowl of that soup. We have the sticky rice mango for dessert and it was perfect. I can wait to drive the 2 hours again. I told my husband to save this place in his Google. Because I havvvvvvvve to come back to this place. Uncle Lee. You know what you are doing. You are all so amazing. And the service was so welcoming. I felt like I was in someone home and they were feeding me.

Had a very lovely lunch here today with my mother while we were passing through town! We both agree that Uncle Lee’s might just be worth the drive up the hill from Marion for special occasions!
I had the Pokké Bowl, which the chef was kind enough to modify for me by adding a sashimi order of unagi (eel) to go with the tuna and salmon already in the bowl. Absolutely fantastic! My mom had the Pad Thai with chicken, and it was stunning! The chicken was grilled to perfection!
We will definitely be back!

We went here two evenings in a row on a trip to Banner Elk. Our two kids love Philly Rolls (sushi rolls with salmon, cream cheese and avocado) and even though they where not on the menu the chef made them for them. He was so friendly with the children and allowed them to watch the sushi being made which made the restaurant the highlight of the trip. The food was delicious – over the two nights we had a variety of things and everything was wonderful!

Amazing sushi at the base of Beech Mtn, in Banner Elk. I got the lunch Bento Box 4 which was very fresh and delicious. The portion sizes of food and drinks were very nice. The staff were so kind, and the atmosphere on the heated outdoor patio was super. Definitely check it out when in the area.
