Mema’s bakery is one of my favorite bakeries. Located in Brownsville, Oregon, Mema’s bakery has a variety of fresh desserts and bread. The spiced cupcakes with cream cheese frosting is my favorite. *Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is open early on Sunday morning in Brownsville….. Except this place! Fresh cinnamon rolls and HOT local coffee!
They offer a nice variety from a few different kinds of cookies, to a Mexican Milk cake (Tres Leches) carrot cake, Banana Bread, Sourdough Italian Focaccia Bread of all flavors, brownies, Strawberry Rhubarb, 5 kinds of Cobbler, cheesecake Freeze Dried candies and Coffee cake, lemon Blueberry and Double chocolate cheesecake Muffins!
Sourdough goes quick, so get there early!
Sit outside on a nice quiet morning at the bistro table, enjoy your cinnamon rolls and coffee!

I popped in to ask if they would fill my water bottle up as it was a hot day and I had used more on my cycle ride than usual. They happily filled it with iced water – much needed! I left with a Zucchini bread which I enjoyed at my campsite.

What a delightful new bakery in the heart of Brownsville. And they are open on Sunday!!! Delicious cinnamon rolls, the perfect sweet. Variety of muffins, brownies, etc. and don’t forget to grab a loaf of the sourdough. It goes fast! Highly recommend the visit.

I am honestly not one for cupcakes but I needed a bunch for a kids birthday party. With only a few days notice she whipped up 2 different kinds. They looked beautiful. The frosting was out of this world. As I said I generally wouldn’t choose cupcakes but they were fantastic.
