Great place to hear all about the town. And have great coffee. I asked for a peach iced latte with regular milk and it almost tastes like peaches and cream. We can get closer next time . I loved the rotating art gallery wall. The book nook up front. And spaces to chat with friends. Add them to your social media. @cafeguse

I didn’t eat anything. I was waiting on my husband so I ducked in for a cup of coffee and it was delicious. It’s a small, quaint place. I got there 15 minutes before closing but that didn’t stop the employee (owner?) from giving me top notch service! I will be going back with a friend to try out their food.

Update: I ordered today through DoorDash and the order was confirmed by the store, but there was no one at the store? As a long time patron, I’m going to take a break from Guse’s. This was at 9:30 AM?? Two hours after it says you are open. Also I lost my $7 tip to the dasher because of the store confirming the order. Pretty frustrating as someone who just wants to drink your coffee and eat your food. Original Review: I love Guse’s, but I have stopped by 4 times from 7:30-8:00 AM when it says y’all are open, and the lights are dark and no one is home. Today is my partners birthday and he wanted Guse’s because it is the best- but since it’s closed, we will have to choose somewhere else. I notice there is generally only 1 opener- having 2 openers would greatly reduce this occurrence. It’s a common practice as someone who worked in coffee for 2+ years. I appreciate your business, and really hope you stick around.

I went in to try a matcha & avocado toast. Since there are such limited healthy vegetarian options in Longview, I was looking forward to having a nice café to sit at. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The service was extremely poor, with an unfriendly welcome and ordering experience. Then, trying to find a table was difficult because they were dirty and littered with trash from previous customers. When the toast came, it was 1.5 pieces of bread with avo spread on top with mostly garlic powder and cut up cold egg. What really made a poor impression was the gross bathroom. Dirty walls, toilet, and floor. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment.

By far the best coffee shop in cowlitz county! I love getting to try all the local coffee shops and this one always ends up staying my favorite. It’s a cute shop that’s really family and kid friendly. The employees are helpful and polite. But most importantly, the coffee is always amazing & high quality!

If a Medium or Dark roast is more the perfect morning cup for your coffee loving heart both are just as amazing as the light roast so no worries there mate! If tea is more your thing ask about about the TEA that transforms into a METEROR SHOWER! I have nibbled on a cookie in the past just recalling its flavor is forcing me right into a daydream for the next time… must taste more food from of Cafe Guse!!!!

I ordered a plain bagel and the oatmeal. The bagel was very mid for what it cost. My oatmeal was a very small portion and took a long time for them to make. The service was nice. The employees were sweet but the atmosphere felt claustrophobic and very cold.

Just good vibes! The workers are friendly, fun, and nice to each other. The coffee is good and the ambiance is relaxing. They sometimes are out of different things, but are always willing to do what it takes to make something you’ll like.

While painting my father-in-law’s building nextdoor to Cafe Guse, I noticed some very wonderfully interesting public art tucked in this area of Longview. It was early Sunday morning and the cafe wasn’t open at the time.
I’m hoping to stop in and sample the fare in the near future so I can offer my take on their food and service.
But in the meantime, I’m enjoying Longview’s unique Outdoor Gallery along Commerce Avenue and their supporting businesses.

Coffee was good and the atmosphere was lovely. I’m used to fresh roasted coffee and this was not two day old fresh roasted like I’m used to, but I know there probably isn’t a lot of turnover nor do they have the capability to fresh roast an order for me. And the coffee was still good! Pretty happy, would go back.
