My first time eating here. My husband remembers this place from years earlier and said it was always packed. New owner now. It wasn’t very crowded on a Saturday night. I love the atmosphere, it is dated but it’s cool, kind of like an old Chicago steak house. Very, very clean! We sat at the bar, Nohely was very sweet. We started with the calamari strips. They were cooked perfectly and very good, but there were only six small strips for $15.99 so not a good value. My husband had the lamb and I had the calamari dinner. Our dinners were good, portions are modest. My calamari was a bit over cooked but still good. Our salads were good, we had blue cheese dressing and added blue cheese crumbles. They were a nice size. Our asparagus was fresh and cooked perfectly. Drinks were very good and are competitively priced. Overall all, we enjoyed our dinner. We will go back.

If I could I would put four and a half Stars for the food. Great presentation good fresh food. I had the chicken thighs which were a bit too deep fried and over breaded. But the taste was great and the sauce which was a bacon cream sauce was delicious. It came with vegetables but not a lot of vegetables. And it came with a good sized salad that included raisins cucumbers Tomatoes Etc. The price was $16.95 which I thought was very reasonable for the amount of food you got for lunch. My sister had the pepper jack cheese chicken breast sandwich. That came with fries or a salad and was reasonably priced at $14.95. The service was very good and the place was very clean. It just needs an update. I would definitely eat here again.

They focus on beef, some sea food. I had the Atlantic salmon which I am sure was farm raised, salmon with 3 or 4 sprigs of asparagus. Kind of wanted more vegetables.

I have going to the Bear Club, off and on for 40 years as we moved to Hanford 25 years ago. We went again yesterday for lunch and ordered the Alpine Burger. Though not on the menu anymore, they will be happy to make one for you.
