My favourite new restaurant in Greensboro (and the only local Senegalese spot that I know of). The cassava leaf stew is amazing!! Made with turkey, chicken and a beautifully flavoured sauce. The grilled snapper with attieke was also a standout. Delicious, very zesty ginger juice, too. The owner was so nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. The gentleman came and asked my friends and I if we had any questions about the menu and helped each of us decide what to get. I got the Egusi soup with Fufu. My friends got the Thiou tiir, Dibi and Egg roll. We decided to dine in and try the Bissap and Ginger juice. Everything was flavorful, well seasoned and delicious. It was our first time trying Senegalese food and we are all fans. We almost went again today because it was that good.

What a wonderful introduction to Senegalese food!

My partner wasn’t as adventurous as me and got the Philly – which was delicious, but not the reason for this review. I got the Djolof Rice with lamb. I requested that the dish be made a little spicy, and it came out perfectly! Savory and well seasoned for sure.

I am no expert on Senegalese food – I couldn’t tell you how authentic it is with the ingredients available in the States. I can tell you as a lover of good food that this place has it. The folks who served us our meal were pleasant and eager to make our food just the way we wanted it. And they did!

Clean, small place. International soccer playing on the TV, not too loud. I wouldn’t suggest dining in with a large party, but if I were local it’d be my go-to takeout spot for bigger gatherings.

The first thing for me are the owners of the place. They are very nice and understands good customer relationship.

I had the Djolof rice and Chicken on my first visit, and Djolof rice and Lamb on my second while my girlfriend had the Attieke with Tilapia.

The food, and plating was 10/10.
Coming from someone who has eaten both Nigerian and Ghanaian Jollof rice, this Senegalese Djolof tastes unique and different from others which have more tomato flavor.

The meats are also tenderly cooked and well seasoned, and that’s so impressive to me.

The food, portion size, and meat (“protein” size) are really good for the price.

PS to the owners, please don’t change the price drastically

GOODNESS ME! Food this flavorful is a blessing! I ordered the dibi lamb and it was everything I could have wanted in a dish. The spices were so complimentary with the lamb and the onion and mustard sauce. The lamb was tender and perfectly grilled with sweet caramelized plantains.

Atmosphere is pleasing with unique attractive decor and extremely clean.

Family owned and proudly served with courtesy and hospitality.

The bissap was very sweet but rich flavor.

Fataya had a flaky pastry with seasoned chicken and a sweet onion sauce

I cant wait to return

10/10 recommend. Firstly, cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen. Second, the hibiscus tea… try it. Sweet and slightly citrus. The food is authentic and looks and tastes delicious. Will be back and have already recommended to family and friends. You won’t regret trying this place out! Oh and want to add the fact the owner I presume took his time to bag my food, make recommendations, and was honestly just super friendly and respectful. This is a business you want to support.

The people were so welcoming. The food was super tasty, it felt like home . I had my mom and my sister from India, they both agreed that the food had an excellent flavor without a being overly spicy. The owners are still working on the interior but it looks great! The service was good too.

Love the atmosphere. I didn’t get to dine in but would love to eventually. I came in around 6:30 so I’m not sure if the service was reflective of that. It’s pretty much self serve where you order at the kiosk and wait for your food when ordering to go. The cassava leaf soup was flavorful and full of chicken, yet I chose goat meat as an add on and wish that there were more of that, I only got one small piece. The fufu was an amazing texture and made perfectly. Sitting area is plentiful and area is clean. Will be back to try more.

A wonderful experience! I give my highest reccomendation for folks to try Saint Louis Saveurs. The food was delicious, my group ordered the yucca fries and egg rolls for appetizers, and djolof chicken rice, dibi lamb, okra soup with fufu, and a cheesesteak sandwich for our main dishes. I would reccomend any of these dishes, though the standout was the djolof chicken rice and okra soup with fufu.
Also the whole staff was incredibly helpful with picking out dishes, their service, and bringing things like extra sauces for us to try. Make sure to try Saint Louis Saveurs for a new flavor in Greensboro.
