They have been around since I was a kid. Same people. Yes, you have to wait a longggg time for this amazing food. It’s seasoned and cooked fresh when you order it. The food is so good. Soul food vibes. Everything they fry is amazing. Order with confidence just be patient while waiting. The wait will be worth it!!!!!!!!

A great family business with a loving touch. My family and I have been patronizing this restaurant for years. The seafood is brought in fresh daily and deliously cooked fresh while you wait. There is a variety of sides to choose plus dessert offerings. My family favorite are the whitings or progies with a side of string beans and potato salad. I suggest on Friday to go early. You will NOT be disappointed.

The food was delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back. The owner was mad cool and had a lot of personality. My aunt loved the whiting,shrimp and French fries. I enjoyed the Porgy sandwich. This is the spot to go to in the area for fresh home cooked well seasoned seafood. Wait time about 20 mins well worth it!!!!! IF U KNOW GOOD FRIED FISH YOU WILL DEFINITELY BECOME A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Tried this spot because someone rave about how good the fish is. I was very disappointed. I ordered a whiting sandwich and shrimp. They were both horrible. The oil is old making the food taste stale and there is no seasoning on the fish or shrimp.

Even though they do not steam here, I’ve eaten at this take-out restaurant for YEARS and they have NEVER disappointed me. This is at least ONE of the places I can STILL get REAL WHITING fish! and NOT have to reject that FAKE substitute going around instead. Their porgy fish is tasty too. They also usually have string beans, cabbage and/or collard greens as vegetable choices for brunch, lunch or dinner. Those whom I’ve known to eat fried shrimp here, have ALWAYS gave it a thumbs up. Let me warn though; they take their TIME here WITHOUT wasting time to PREPARE your food FRESH!!! so be prepared to WAIT for deliciously cooked goodness. If you want “Fast Food” keep it moving. This USE to be an eat-in spot BEFORE the Covid “pandemic.” Last time here, I got breakfast and also dinner to go for later.

To start off i decided to try this place because of all the “great” reviews that i seen. Don’t be FOOLED this place is absolutely TRASH. From the inside to the food. The guy at the front gives off this weird spooky demeanor. I felt like i was in a horror movie. The inside is FILTHY looks like it hasn’t been renovated or cleaned since 1996 and it stinks inside. And to top it all off the food is garbage no taste, no flavor, no seasoning just fried. I’m so confused how they are still in business and even more confused from these fake reviews i seen online. I ended up giving my food to a homeless person couldn’t even finish it i was disgusted. Stay away from this weird trash place.

Was excited to try a seafood spot . Once I tried this food I was so disappointed… fried fish and shrimp had no flavor and taste stale .. food is one of the worse I had sad to say . Potato salad was horrible . Whole food experience was just horrible. They need new oil and more season or to just close.
