Stepping into V’s Grill & Pub, I was truly delighted to discover a place that perfectly balances a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with an unexpectedly high standard of culinary excellence. My recent visit, specifically for their Thursday special, was a revelation; the roast beef, carved literally off an in-house roasted, showcased a dedication to authentic family cooking that was simply phenomenal, far surpassing typical pub fare. If you are looking for chicken, then look no further. Don’t let the small town fool you, this is the best chicken I’ve had in my life. It is broasted so it stays juicy inside while the skin is perfectly crispy. Definitely try the chicken. The mashed potatoes are instant and not fooling anyone, but are edible. The cheese curds are a must as well. They have beer, wine and a small bar. Go for the chicken, curds and a beer.

The all you can eat chicken is highly recommended. Some of the best chicken I have had and it keeps coming. Our group of 14 was handled amazing. Small little place but great food and awesome service is something that is hard to find. Check out the twine ball when you’re in town.

We enjoyed the broasted chicken. The mashed potatoes with gravy were better than the jojos, although each was yummy. The rhubarb tort was an fine dessert. We had no cell phone service, which definitely made for a different experience. The service was friendly and good

V’s Grill (formerly known to me in my younger years as Jack’s) is still the center of activity in the sprawling metropolis of Darwin MN. The staff has changed, the menu is updated, but the vibe is still amazing and vibrant. I heard rave reviews about the chicken and it was exceptional. Desert offerings were two variants of rhubarb so I indulged in the tort and it rekindled memories of my youth at Grandma Werner’s house south of town.

Everyone raves about their chicken, but I just had a double bacon cheeseburger with choice of cheese (pepper Jack for me) & jo jo’s and they were both absolutely fantastic. The bun stayed toasty, the burger was perfectly cooked & seasoned, two slices of melty cheese & the jo jo’s were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Best jo jo’s I’ve had. The burger was top tier. Excellent service, too.

The food is great. We usually go at the Brosted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side salad.
Brenda, Kylie and McKenzie are excellent servers and take care of our food and beverage needs. When the girls do a good job with eating all their dinner, they even hooked them up with a soft serve ice cream or fresh pie!

Their broasted chicken is the best we’ve had! They have daily specials including all you can eat fish on Friday. They also have all you can eat chicken on Saturday. Their $30.95 8 piece chicken dinner has biscuit and coleslaw for each along with two sides. Great value in today’s economy for two people. It is a bar/pub setting, but your not gonna be sorry once you taste the broasted chicken. We drive a good distance just for the chicken alone.
