Not only worth a stop if you’re passing through, but worth driving to Eureka for. Everything our family got was delicious. The service was always well timed. And the atmosphere was really cool. Newly renovated, but with lots of nods to the mining roots of the town. We especially loved the sourdough, baked pancakes and sweet rolls. We went for brunch on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves. More people need to try the cast iron bistro.

Locally family owned gourmet restaurant. Lunch menu was small, 4 to 5 entrees, several sides, salads, soup, desserts, etc., but Food was freshly prepared and delicious. Food quality was excellent and the owner/waitress was very attentive and helpful. The historical building the restaurant is in has been meticulously restored and contains many old photos and antiques from the mining days. This really a hidden gem of a restaurant.

My husband and I popped into Eureka to check out the Mining Museum but missed it by 15 minutes. ♀️ It turned out well, though, because we discovered the Cast Iron Bistro.
We had already eaten just a little bit before so we didn’t want anything heavy and had a little snack of focaccia and fried cheese.
What a delightful and delicious surprise!
The cheese was fried in Panko and served with a tomato sauce. It was crunchy and flaky on the outside with a stretchy, gooey center. The tomato sauce wasn’t too heavy and was just the perfect flavor compliment.
The focaccia was also absolutely delightful! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the butter was smooth and creamy.
We ate both right up, and when we left the cookies looked so good that we snagged two of those for the road!
Soft, cinnamony coffee cake cookies, drizzled with icing. They were exactly the right amount of sweet and heartwarming.
We had a lovely time and felt very taken care of on our little adventure. ❤️

Do yourself a favor you won’t regret and eat here. Go out of your way if you have to. The restaurant itself is so cozy and charming. From the photos on the walls to the history of the building, it’s so quaint and interesting. We were well taken care of, being seated right away and brought our drink order quickly. My husband ordered a huckleberry limeade that was equal parts sweet and tart. He ordered a patty melt. I ordered the BLT. The sides were macaroni salad and potato salad, which we shared. The portions are huge. The sandwiches came on fresh, homemade sourdough. There were fresh bakery items, but I was too full to eat any more. There were also fresh, homemade jams and syrups and cute knick knacks for sale. The bathrooms are clean and worth walking down the hall for. Pay attention to the woodwork and the old photographs on the walls. I wish we lived closer. I’d go try everything on the menu. What a delicious find!

The Cast Iron Bistro was delicious. I got their burger and loved it. It had an English muffin for a bun, which was really fun. The menu is very limited and I think it also rotates. They are also only open on Friday and Saturday and sometimes they’re even closed on those days. If they are open, it’s worth stopping in and getting something delicious to eat.

Wow! I am at a loss of words. Some of the best food I’ve had on planet earth. We were in the area and made it shortly before closing time.
We were warmly welcomed and of course started off the meal with a cinnamon twist. Incredible.
For our main course we tried the brisket hash and the biscuits and gravy. Both were fantastic.
We spent some time talking with the owners Natalie and Kyle. They shared some of their story of how they ended up in Eureka, starting from a food truck then finding a property for their restaurant they liked so much that they moved to Eureka.
They took great care of us. Kyle has a passion for what he does that translates to his food. Natalie’s contributions made the experience even better as we felt we were part of the family.
The thing that makes this place truly unique is that they are willing to take risks, try new things, and execute in a way that passion translates to food you may not have ever experienced before. Kyle is doing things with sourdough I have not seen before. Frankly, I have never really liked sourdough, even hated it, but after today I enjoy it, even love it. Sourdough bread, biscuits, cookies, cinnamon twists, all exceptional with more creations on the way.
Kyle, Natalie, and family, thanks for an experience we won’t forget. Even though we didn’t originally come to Eureka from Salt Lake City to stop at Cast Iron Bistro, you can be sure in the future we will likely come to Eureka just so we can enjoy another meal at your place.

A great place to stop and slow down. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the Bacon Mac n Cheese with the Brisket on top, and my wife got the Avocado Sandwich with Potato Salad.
The Mac n Cheese was amazing. Very cheesy but not over the top. The brisket was quite good.
The Avocado sandwich was great with some amazing pickled onions on it. The potato salad was divine and the homemade pickle was perfection.
Whether you’re driving through, or looking for a good hometown spot, Cast Iron Bistro is the place for you.

We loved this place! The tortellini and the bread pudding were incredible. The atmosphere and the family that runs the restaurant were delightful. They had hand picked the produce at a farm just down the road. We loved the fresh and creative menu. Definitely worth the drive! We’ll be back!

We stopped by here after rockhounding out in the desert, and it everything was delicious. It felt like a friend invited you over for dinner for a wonderful home cooked meal. The chicken fried steak and the coffee cake, cookie were my favorites.
