The restaurant itself is very well kept, clean, and organized. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and what is offered.
The food is what sold me the most. Dutch Oven is one of the few, if ONLY, places that sells homemade beef and chicken patties; not that nasty, frozen, golden crust crap. When the lady told me that, I knew they were legit.
I ordered some curry goat, cabbage, chicken and beef patties and I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing.
The only suggestion would be to not hold back on the seasoning and curry. The curry goat seemed a bit muted, which I don’t like. Give us the full Jamaican experience!
Great job Dutch Oven, you now have a loyal customer!
The portions are huge far more generous than most places and the flavors are rich, bold, and comforting. From the curry chicken to the jerk chicken, every bite was seasoned perfectly and tasted like a home-cooked meal. The patties, coco bread, and the homemade juices were equally impressive.
Honestly, for the quality, portion size, and freshness of the food, the prices feel underpriced. I would have felt comfortable paying double for what we received. It’s rare to find a restaurant where you leave feeling this satisfied, both in flavor and value.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and professional. Dutch Oven is absolutely a standout spot, and I’m grateful to have discovered it. I highly recommend this restaurant you won’t be disappointed.
Got the cows foot soup, stew chicken, and Sour Sop drink.
As a Jamaican living here, it’s been hard to find truly authentic Jamaican food—until I discovered Dutch Oven Jamaican Restaurant. From the very first visit, I knew I had found something special. They never miss when it comes to flavor. Every dish is well seasoned, cooked with care, and clearly made with love.
The customer service is top notch, and the ambiance is warm and welcoming—it feels like home. I don’t even go to other fast food spots anymore. I proudly support my own, and Dutch Oven has my heart (and appetite) for life!
Long of it: Everything was pretty great when I went. I showed up for the opening event so it was a lot more of a spectacle than it may be normally.
The atmosphere was very cozy and chill with a band outside playing caribbean instruments. The seating is really nice as well.
The food was extremely good and authentic Jamaican. The curry goat has a very tender and the flavor of the curry marinated well in the meat. The flavor of the curry lingers in your mouth for awhile after eating it. The jerk chicken has a very smokey taste to it that compliments the meat so well. The beef patties taste really good too and the batter of the beef patties is extremely flavorful and each bite was delicious.
If you’re looking for good Jamaican/Caribbean food, you definitely have to try this.
Finally, a place close to me with actual tender meat!!! I’ll definitely be a frequent customer here. I decided to sample a little from oxtail, curry goat, and stew chicken. It would be hard for me to pick one over the other. They’re all comforting and good flavor. I had to add salt, but I’d always prefer to add rather than get something that is too salty. Sorry, but I forgot to take photos before I picked/removed portions of each dish onto my dinner plate. Please don’t stop making this tender meat available. Such comfort as if I just shared a family meal that was home-cooked.
