Once again my order was wrong. I got home with my pick up order and opened up to eat and all I had was bread with a little meat on it. No lettuce or tomato and even the wrong kind of bread. Port of subs has gone down the tubes. It’s absolute garbage anymore. I am so mad and frustrated. I live in Washoe Valley so it’s not like I can just go back. One pissed off customer.. Again!

Went in after avoiding this place for two years since the owners of the Kwik E Mart took it over and I should have avoiding it yet again! First guy takes my order – #18 w/ double meat, no cheese. What is the first thing he cuts? Cheese!! It puts it on the bread – I tell him I’m allergic to dairy – he looks at me and keeps cutting. I raise my voice “NO Cheese”. He takes it off the bread and throws the cheese away. Then he slices 3 piece of roast beef and 3 slices of turkey. When I ask if that is ‘double meat’ (as I really didn’t know), he then slices about 18 pieces of turkey with no more roast beef. Then the second guy asks about condiments – I ask for honey mustard. He pulls out regular mustard and puts on about a gallon. I say “Honey Mustard, not regular mustard” – the look on the man’s face was priceless. He proceeds to take a sharp knife and scrap off some of it but it was so full of mustard, he couldn’t take anymore off. So, he left it and then loads on honey mustard. Put it on the sandwich and began to wrap it….i said “wait, I’d like lettuce and onion”. He asks me if I wanted cheese. It was a clown show and a half!! At the end of the line is the female and she can’t wait to ring things up! She already had the half of sub with double meat rung up! There were three cookies sitting there – who knows when they were made – even though it was 12:30PM on a Friday!! I ordered a large soda and took a cookie – $26.00!! All for a turkey and mustard sub that I did NOT order!!
Ironically, I had gone in to talk about a catering order for a small gathering I am having but after that experience, I just walked out. I would rather give my business to someone that will listen and actually take the time to make things right. The fact the two gentlemen screwed up the bun but didn’t dare swap it out was amazing to me. It is a half of a roll…throw it away to ensure I don’t get sick and I get the mustard flavor I want – not the one you chose!! Oh well, I can only recommend to stay away from this port of subs as they are a disaster.

It stinks really bad when you walk in here. Just awful. You should never have to hold your breath while ordering food in a restaurant. Do not order from here. It is not the usual Port of Subs. It is very sub par. I ordered a sandwich for pick up without onions. They put tons of old, smelly, onions on the sandwich and it was inedible even after removing them.

This is one of the best Port of Subs & it’s in South Reno on S. Meadows. The servers are smiling, cordial & greets us out a smile. We always have a conversation as they’re making our sandwich or salad. The store is cleaned. The atmosphere is good & the service is always good. It is a pleasant place to sit & enjoy your meal. We take our daughter & her 2
kids for lunch there too. My husband is a Navy Veteran & they always remember to give him a discount for our lunch & thank him for his service. It’s the place in Reno that we frequent for a lunch sandwich or a salad & don’t forget the brownies & cookies! Yummy! There is one more reason why I love dining there: My husband became ill in the store & almost passed out. They stepped up to help my husband. They called an ambulance & got my husband over to Renown South Meadows & he got the care he needed. Now, when we go in they are like family & always ask my hubby how he’s doing! They are great human beings & they serve well. Visit & check them out!
