UPDATE: I initially was so happy to find my favorite chinese place but today I felt really disappointed. The food was less than ok but the portion size is half of what it used to be for the same price. I expect larger portions from chinese restaurants and so this was borderline unacceptable. Id rather then raise the price on the menu items and give me the same large portions.

As a NY style chinese food snob, this is hands down the closest if not exactly the same as my go to ny chinese spot. Delicious, fresh and hot, veggies have a snap, not oily, and all in all amazing. Delivery service was literally to the minute they promised. Will definitely order again. If youre from NY and no other place is satisfying your cravings, this is the spot!!!

Great Chinese food has a few items that a lot of other Chinese spots don’t have like the salt and pepper wings. I would highly recommend coming here and their customer service is super amazing every time you order they are very nice.

The chicken lo Mein here is Delicious as well as the chicken wings, ribs, and pork fried rice just to name a few. I have ordered from here for years. We recently had a fundraiser at our school Garfield School #7, and May didn’t hesitate to donate to make the kids experience that much better. She is a very kind person, and her love for her community is shown in her food. Thank you China House!!

The food I ordered from this place was so well prepared and tasty. It looked and tasted fresh. The wait time was standard, and the people were friendly.

I ordered General Tso’s Chicken from many places, and often times I have received a warmed-up “brick” of chicken. When I got the chicken here, I was happy to see each individual piece covered in sauce, which is not that big of a deal, but it truly made my night.

We love this place!!!! Every time we place a order in not even 20 minutes they are at the door of my house with nice still hot food. I hate when you order from somewhere it takes a hour plus and the food is cold. Their food here is very reasonable priced and their customer service and delivery time is amazing. The delivery guy always remembers you, even after only 1 time ordering and always greets us with a smile and asks us how you been. Have tried many other Chinese places around Garfield. But now this is the only one we order from, and have been doing so for years.. You should try them out!

Unfortunately, I ordered something normally only available in China Town. Spare ribs in black bean sauce. Don’t get it. They are not steamed rib tips but just red marinated ribs chopped up and I challenge anyone to detect a black bean flavor. Stick to the other food which is probably fine.

This Chinese take out place is the most generous of any one I have dealt with. The quality of the food is excellent and the personnel are always very pleasant. They make the best fried calamari that I ever had. The only issue was that there was very little, tiny specks of roast pork in the roast pork fried rice.

I use to not like their Chicken and broccoli! I didn’t like how their brown sauce tasted. I ordered some the other day and it was so fresh and brown sauce tasted better than ever before! Good Job! I guess changing owners helped alot!!

We have ordered from them since we moved to garfield which has been about 8 months ( and about 6 times a month). The last 3/4 times we ya e had nothing but problems with our orders and our card being ran. The girl who has answered the past few times we have had problems is very rude!!!!! She blames the customer which is not appropriate for a business that thrives on customer satisfaction! They need to get rid of her! We will never order from them again and I will tell everyone else not to order there as well due to their terrible customer service!!!
