Claypot delivers exactly the kind of comfort food you crave when the temperature plunges. The standout for me was the caveman‑style beef ribs soup — a steaming, hearty bowl that feels like it was engineered for sub‑zero weather. The broth is rich without being heavy, the meat falls off the bone, and the whole thing warms you from the inside out.
The atmosphere is cozy, the portions generous, and the service steady even during busy hours. A few small tweaks in seasoning or pacing could push it to a full five stars, but as it stands, Claypot is a reliable, satisfying spot when you need something bold, rustic, and warming.
A great choice for winter days when only a primal, rib‑sticking soup will do.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly disturbing.
The restaurant was visibly dirty in multiple areas. The staff handling food, serving, and clearing tables did not appear clean. What concerned me most was watching employees handle cash and take orders, then immediately touch kitchen equipment and food without washing their hands.
Basic hygiene should be the minimum standard in any restaurant. Regardless of how the food tastes, cleanliness and proper handwashing are non negotiable.
Until their sanitation practices improve, I would not feel comfortable returning.

A very casual nice little Korean restaurant. The Seolleongtang was pretty good but I have had better in other restaurants (oth cities). It’s a bit weird that the place is called Seolleongtang and featuring Selleongtang, but actually I think the Wang Galbitang was better. The huge beef ribs in it were very satisfying. The chicken gizzards were also pretty good, no gamey tastes. Will come back if in the area.

I had a horrible experience here! The owner was so rude to me..I found a piece of hair in mygalbitang. Gross! I told him that I wanted a new bowl of the soup and rice. Instead, he said he would charge me for the extra rice even though it was contaminated by the hair. I asked him for a refund. When I told him I would never come back to the restaurant, he took away my dish and told me to not come back. Instead of being apologetic, he was rude and inappropriate. He also seemed sexist – if I had been a male customer he would have never had treated me that way! Ugh! I have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant before in my life. I’m never going back there – do not go there.

Great spot for a very specific dish that Koreans always appreciate: seolleongtang. Plenty of choices to pick from. And absolutely have the handmade steamed mandu (two types).

I come here for one of my favorite Korean dishes: the delicious Wang Galbitang (Beef Rib Soup). I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
My second favorite is the Modeum Suyuk, which is a huge plate of beef brisket, chuck, tongue, shank, and tendon. It’s incredible.
These guys do it right with the banchan, and the service is excellent. That’s why we keep coming back. 5 out of 5

Solid 4 place. Its weird when restaurant’s main dish is their name of business and other dish is better…
Like I tried their selleongtang, and this time, their galbitang and bossam.
And their bossam is the best dish for me.
I think the price plays into this factor and also, when you have legendary restaurant in same city that is known for sellongtang, aka Hanbat, its hard not to compare.
Hanbat is much cheaper and better taste.
Galbitang, I also prefer the taste of Joongboo, its more savory and cheaper. Piece of this wang galbi has more aesthetic appealing, but little meat, harder to eat, contains more fat.
Bossam on the other hand, was very nice and good price also.

I tried the seolongtang. It tastes healthy. I expected it to be a little under-seasoned because I think that’s how it is supposed to taste. They provide salt and pepper on the table. The broth itself tastes rich. I added some kimchi juice to it. Overall, it tastes good!

This might be our go to now for seolluntang and galbitang! The flavors are light and you can season to taste with the salt on the table. The seolluntang was delightful, perfectly balanced and flavorful. It’s pretty big inside, at least much bigger than it looks on the outside. I would guess there are maybe 10 tables? We came around 11:10 and were the only people inside, but within 30 min the restaurant started to fill up! I can see parking getting tight though there’s parking around the back too where the laundromat is. If you ever get desperate, you can also park at the Hmart next door and walk over.
