Best tasting BBQ in this area! Most of the negative review are about portion sizes, and I agree that for the price you may not get a lot. But considering the cost of meat at grocery stores, I get it. It’s not cheap to produce BBQ of this quality. Be sure to try their ribs & brisket.

This was by far some of the best bbq I’ve had outside of Texas!! The jalapeno cheddar sausage was huge and had the perfect casing snap and taste. The brisket was perfectly smoked and tasted unbelievable. I will be eating here a lot more!!

This was fun and lively place! Especially for the summer the interior, music and outdoor space was very nice. Some of our items (pulled pork, corn) were quite delicious, others could be so much better (the ribs were a bit dry with barely any meat on it).
It’s a bit of self serve(after ordering) / seat your self type place.

Golden Boy BBQ has quickly become a favorite of mine! I’ve been twice now, and both experiences were fantastic. The pulled pork is truly a “chef’s kiss” moment – perfectly tender and flavorful. And don’t even get me started on the ribs; they’re messy, but absolutely worth every finger-licking bite.
Beyond the main attractions, their salads are surprisingly delicious, and I can’t get enough of their spicy pickles. The chicken is also incredibly tasty, proving that everything on their menu is a winner.
The location is super convenient for me since I work nearby, so I’ll definitely be stopping by more often to explore the rest of their menu. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with comfortable indoor seating and a lovely outdoor area that has a fantastic vibe. To top it all off, the staff are incredibly friendly and kind, making each visit even more enjoyable. Plus, if you somehow don’t finish your meal, it heats up perfectly the next day! I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Service was good, atmosphere was really nice. Cool looking place but the food let us down. Didnt have a ton of flavor. Pulled pork was fine until we got in middle then it was dry. The sides left a lot to be desired, looked good but not much flavor. Banana pudding was the star of the show.

I was so excited to be going here for the first time. I got the brisket sandwich with the waffle fries, elote and coleslaw. Everything tasted phenomenal. I gave the food 4 stars because the sandwich was awfully tiny for $15 bucks. The bun was the size of a small burger at a fast food chain. Wasn’t expecting that !

Every time I go, the BBQ is even better! Brisket and smoked sausage links for the win! Smash burger was also a pleasant surprise, so good. And gotta love waffle fries! Very cool atmosphere too, love the glass atrium area. Their bar and outdoor space are also lovely. My only suggestion would be to serve the broccoli salad raw, otherwise delicious. Glad to have this spot in Elmhurst, Golden Boy is doing some solid BBQ
