My 1yr old daughter and I decided to go give Big Willys a try since we’re new to town… for our meal I opted for the grilled cheese & salad for my daughter, and I got the special for the day which was Chicken & Dumplins with green beans & dinner roll.
I’ll be the first to admit I am insanely picky when it comes to chicken & dumplins, and while theirs was a lot different than what I’m used to, it was still very delicious and I ate every last bit… but those green beans… by far the best green beans I’ve ever had in my life. Even better than my own, which I’ve always taken pride in.
The ranch that was on my daughters salad was also probably the best ranch I’ve ever had at a small town diner before. You can definitely tell that a lot of love gets poured into the makings of the foods served there. Will definitely be going back!

My wife and I, my sister-in-law and her husband had breakfast at Big Willy’s this morning. Although they open on Mondays at 10:30 am with their lunch menu, rather than 7:00 am the rest of the week, Willy opened at 10:00 am, for us as we were passing through Hominy, Ok looking for breakfast while heading back home to Ponca City after a camping trip at Twin Points RV campground on Skiatook Lake. Although they normally open with their lunch menu on Mondays, which would have been alright, we asked if we could possibly have breakfast and Willy said that would not be a problem. We all ordered from the breakfast menu and received some of the best breakfast entrees we experienced anywhere at surprisingly reasonable costs in light of recent food price increases due to supply shortages and inflation. Willy and his staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating while we were in the cafe. He is quite a character, although he is an OU fan, which we won’t hold against him. We will definitely stop in at Big Willy’s again when we are in the vicinity.

Great place to grab a meal! They have an excellent menu and great service. Weather you’re passing through or part of the town, this place is a must stop when you’re in the area. The owners make their way around to each table and ensure everyone is enjoying themselves and are happy. I will definitely be returning.
