Great service, delicious fried chicken made to order, big portions, fries were pretty good. The service was great! They were very friendly and attentive. Really nice clean restaurant cool looking decor on the wall. Definitely a good local favorite. They’re going to start serving breakfast too starting June 3rd. We will have to come by again and try that out. My husband got the three-piece and added an extra piece of chicken, I got the three-piece all thighs, we both had french fries. All together $39 with two drinks, the two meals,.and the extra piece of chicken. We will definitely be back. It’s so refreshing to find delicious fried chicken anywhere near this area!

Met a friend here and I picked the perfect place. It’s all about military and since my son is military I liked it. The staff was the best staff of any restaurant I have ever been to, very attentive and friendly took time out to talk and make us feel comfortable. We got the snow crab sausage and shrimp and it was so good. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I will be back when I’m ever in Terrell. FYI they do have things besides seafood. They have a menu full of something for everyone from burgers, to chicken and waffles, to a salad. It’s located right in the middle of downtown across from the bank.

While I waited, I noticed the space is welcoming and well thought out. Plenty of seating, not crowded or cramped, and a steady flow of takeout orders. Honestly, I think folks picking up their food are missing out by not sitting down and soaking in the atmosphere.
When my food came out, it was everything I hoped for and more. The triple-patty burger was hands down the juiciest, most flavorful burger I’ve ever had. It was fresh, hot, and cooked to absolute perfection. If you think you’ve had a good burger, trust me, you haven’t until you’ve had one here.
The sides were just as incredible. The seasoned fries were crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside—exactly how fries should be. The onion rings? Golden, hand-dipped perfection. And the coleslaw—wow. You can tell it’s homemade, not the prepackaged stuff most places throw together. The dressing was flavorful and fresh, the kind of detail that sticks with you.
Even the sweet tea stood out. I don’t know how they do it, but it was next-level delicious.
Everything about this place feels intentional—from the food to the hospitality. PD in the kitchen clearly knows how to craft something special. They even have high chairs for families, which tells you they’ve thought of everyone.
Soldiers Daughter Diner is located in downtown Terrell, but I don’t care where you are—Fort Worth, Denton, Tyler, wherever—make the trip. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience you’ll want to have again and again.

Best catfish we’ve had in a while. Hands down. Friendly service, however there not enough servers for how busy the place was. Very cool concept that come be built on. Could be a foodie attraction in North Texas with the right decor and ambiance. Great food. We’ll be back.

Magic! It must be what’s going on back on that kitchen! I just finished my second visit here. I’ve been frying chicken since I was 7 years old. This magical fried chicken puts mine to shame! Perfectly seasoned, crunchy, hot and fresh. The coleslaw is addictive as well. You have to wait for this deliciousness to arrive at your table cuz it’s all fresh cooked to order. Stop by, slow down and enjoy!

My husband and I just tried this restaurant for the first time today. WOW! Best catfish I have ever put in my mouth!!! Fresh, piping hot, perfectly crispy, melt in your mouth. My husband enjoyed his shrimp. The pieces of shrimp were generous. The fries were perfect. I highly recommend this place. Fun, friendly, relaxed vibe. My only regret is that they were out of the coleslaw I had heard was great. Can’t wait to go back and give it a try.
