While at the Sonoran Sun Resort I got a to go order from restaurant they had on the premises. It’s called Emiliano’s.
The place is well appointed with a nice bar area stocked with most of what folks would order. Right next to it is a seating area for folks that want to dine in.
The staff are friendly, the food was done in about 10-15 minutes and it was great!
The first day there I ordered an Emiliano’s burger. It’s two patties, thick cut bacon with fresh avocado sliced and placed on the cheese. Not just a few avocado slices but many. The meat and veggies were packed between two buns. The bread was actually a good compliment to this burger since it held up well and the bread alone tasted great.
The meat was the star of this burger. It was cooked perfect. No real seasoning that I could pick up which is fine. A good quality meat won’t really need it. The flavor was just what a carnivore wants to savor. Nice thick and juicy patties with plenty of melty cheese to go with it. The way the cheese melted and stayed that way made it even more delicious. It’s a two hander for sure. This burger was bigger than most burgers I’ve had. I can put a lot of food away with ease but this burger left me beyond full. I was so full it hurt to eat the fries. But I did it anyways. Even your teeth feel good sinking into this burger.
The fries could have used a bit more crunch but weren’t bad at all.
The next day I wanted another one. I also got a breaded chicken (milanesa) with rice and steamed veggies. Also to go.
The burger was just as satisfying as the day before. Half way thru you start to get full but it’s so good you keep pushing. The breaded chicken was another surprise. The picture isn’t the best but believe me it was fantastic. Nice and juicy, not salty with excellent crunch from the breading. Best part is that it was not greasy. The rice was ok as were the steamed veggies though the rice could have used more flavor.
If you’re at the Sonoran Sun Resort and you get hungry then consider this place as it was well worth it. Big portions and big taste. Plus it’s right there, you don’t have to go far. The menu prices are current as of 4/2025.
Food presentation-exceptional.
A MUST when you are in R.P. ✨️ ✨️
Restaurant is meticulously clean.
We ate Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner often.
The grilled shrimp looked nice but tasted bad, with overcooked rice and bland veggies. The fajitas had tons of veggies and barely any meat. My chimichanga tasted like a frozen store-bought one, and my husband’s quesadilla was, in his words, “crap” — barely any cheese.
The sides were tiny — maybe a tablespoon of beans, rice, and pico de gallo. No A/C inside, and flies everywhere. Meanwhile, the store across the street had air conditioning.
We left hot, hungry, and frustrated. Never again.
