I found a good review for Mattie’s steaks, so we took a trip out. That was a Tuesday, steaks are only available Wednesday through Saturday. Came back the next day to give them another chance and I really wanted a nice bone-in ribeye, but we came at lunch time and they don’t start serving steaks until 5:00. Came back at 5:00 and ordered the bone-in ribeye. This was one of the cuts they were out of. I finally did settle on a different cut of meat, and it was prepared flawlessly. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were top notch. My girl even won a few dollars playing their slot machines. Mixed drinks vary depending on who makes them, and you probably don’t want to go too exotic like I did. (Heather makes a consumate chocolate Martini, my date raved over hers.) My recommendation? Don’t go in with expectations and you’ll be great.

I ordered the pony shoe and was pleasantly surprised that it was served with white cheese sauce! Tons of fries! It was very good! I had a Lemon Drop Martini which I love but it could have been sweeter. First time here but would go back!

Took us 2 hours to be served our food here on a weekday.. food took forever i don’t know if they just have one cook or what but all we had was wings and burgers nothing difficult. Seemed like staff was more focused on serving drinks than food had to track them down just for our bill. Also no refills on our regular drinks. Would not recommend.

1st time visit. We finally made it . Service was great and the food was very very good. The large Ribeye was very good. It started getting very busy when we was done eating. Glad we had reservations. Reservations definitely recommended on Friday, Saturday.

We were impressed by this restaurant. It is a tiny bar area with space to sit outside and a party room. We came in the middle of December and it was a little chilly inside by the door. We ordered martinis, pretzel bites, and steaks. We were surprised by the side of pork rinds that came as a starter too. Everything was delicious. One of the walls operates like a garage door and we were thinking this place is probably even cooler in good, warm weather. The place was full shortly after dinner opening and it was pretty loud inside. I think we will be back!

Nice place, clean modern style, but small and quaint. Our waitress was very friendly. Between 4 of us, we had Eastwood burgers, fried mushrooms, pretzel bites and cheese balls. All was pretty good.
The outdoor eating areas will be great when the weather gets warmer and it looked like they had a garage door they could open.

Tonight was our first time trying Matties. We came from Decatur to try the wings. They did not disappoint! All of our food came out quickly, steaming hot, and delicious! Excellent wings!! And the service from the waitstaff was amazing- efficient and so kind!! We will be back!

Food was okay, not as great as everyone talked it up to be. Our whole group ordered at the same time but half of us got our food and then the waitress supposedly went on break and the other half didn’t get their food for 30 mins. My food was cold seeing how it took over 30 minutes to get it. Very disappointed about the whole dining experience. I probably won’t go back.
