Update 05/10/25: they are still serving delicious high quality food. Everything is consistently amazing quality. This time we ordered the Tacos Pescado Sabor Tropical, husband got the caldo de camaron. Both were fresh and delicious. Totally hits the spot.
2023: What a hidden gem. Authentic mariscos. The complimentary ceviches is so fresh and just really good. I had 2 shrimp tacos and a fish taco, which were amazing. Husband had the molcajete frescos mixtas. They also have birria de chivo! Not much seating so probably best to order togo. Also, they do not serve cerveza.

Every month I have to come to Lodi for a doctor’s appointment, and after the doctor, a nice treat (7 Mares) before going back to Calaveras County. The best in the west.

Went there for the first time on Monday. Had the “Caldo de Chacal Mixto”. It was a pleasant surprise how good it was. Perfectly seasoned. It has one Chacal which is basically a giant prawn. It also had regular shrimp, octopus, and chunks of fish. It also comes with veggies like zucchini and carrots. We were provided hand made tortillas which is always a plus. They place is kind of small, but it wasn’t crowded that day. We talked to the owner, and he’s a very pleasant and attentive.

Use to go all the time, but will never go back , the owner was highly rude, food was disgusting. She accused my mother in law of always going there giving her problems when it was my mother in laws first time there her confusing her with another person made her give her the food extra salty , burnt tortillas and didn’t want to give her salsa because it didn’t go with the food we had order . Never in our life have we ever experienced something this horrible . It was such a bad case we had the right not to pay for our food but ,we are really nice people we still paid regardless of what happened.
