My wife and I decided to try The Yolk House for brunch. We arrived around noon on a Sunday, and it wasn’t too busy. The restaurant itself was clean, although my wife noted that the women’s restroom could have been a bit cleaner.
We ordered the Breakfast Burrito and the South of the Border Omelet. After noticing other tables had chips and salsa, we asked for some and learned that they’re not typically offered with breakfast orders. The chips we received were stale, but we didn’t mention it to the staff.
On the bright side, both breakfast dishes were very good — flavorful and satisfying. The salsa was surprisingly tasty and paired nicely with both the omelet and burrito.
Overall, we’ll likely choose spots closer to home for breakfast, but we might return sometime for an evening meal when we’re already on the east side of town.

Amazing food and service. A friend and I stopped here for brunch on a Sunday and had one of the best experiences we have ever had. For sure one of the best places in Topeka to grab a bite to eat and hangout. Try their house made tequila. It is my new favorite.

Toast French is gassss it’s more of jam than strawberries prepare. But overall I loved this place. Definitely recommend and ask for suggestions of what to eat. Ask the chef! They were chill!

Our server was nice, but seemed like she may have been new. The table we were sat was in front of the ordering machine, and the servers were arguing back and forth. The spoon I was given for coffee was not clean. Our server didn’t write our order down, my husband’s toast was wrong. I was also given the wrong tortillas. When I asked for them again, she never came back which okay fine I used the corn but in the midst of eating found two hairs cooked into my eggs they comped the plate but overall not the best experience and the wait for the food is pretty long, this was our third time coming because it’s close but doubt we’ll return.

We had the opportunity to have breakfast the day before their Grand opening tomorrow.
The restaurant has been completely remodeled and is quite appealing with lots of space. We had the fruit crêpe and the huevos and coffee.
We found everything to be freshly prepared, quite ample in serving size and delicious. They featured blue jazz coffee, which was also quite good.
Our waitress was quite friendly and engaging, and her service was very good.
Obviously, the restaurant will go through some growing pains, but it is well worth a trip to this new eating establishment.

The food was amazing! I love the atmosphere, it’s a relaxing and not busy place where you can relax with your buddies. Grecia was our waitressing and she did an amazing job. She was attentive and super sweet. We will definitely be back!

We had breakfast there today and WOW what a great breakfast we were treated to today.
The chorizo chillaquiles are delicious and i can tell you this much, the rojo (red) sauce is homemade. The breakfast potatoes are light and crispy plus comes with side of rice. 5 stars!
Breakfast burrito was another all star. Huge and taste was second to none. Another pleasant surprise was the homemade salsa they serve up with it. I make lots of homemade salsa every summer and this salsa is great.
Spinach omelet light, fluffy and packed with flavor also comes with the tasty breakfast potatoes.
Pancakes and Belgian waffles delicious…very much a well rounded great breakfast stop. Breakfast tacos are what I’m eyeing for next visit, plus im hearing the lunch hamburger is crazy good
It’s busy, they do take reservations and I recommend planning ahead if ya have a bigger party. We had party of 7 and were seated right kn time, order taken and finished in little over an hour. The staff and owners bust their backsides to keep everybody taken care of, not always easy on a busy Sunday morning but they did.

We have been twice this week and absolutely LOVED the food! So happy to have a place like this on our side of town! The omelets with chorizo and their smoothies were some of the best we have had. They have very recently opened and are still working things out, so if you go expect a bit of a wait and to have some patience, but for us the food was definitely worth it. We had the same server both times who was very friendly and apologetic about the wait. We will be back and can’t wait to see them grow!

This place has amazing food. I’ve been here 3 times and it’s my neighborhood favorite. I’ve had the breakfast burrito, the waffles and the Avocado toast. Everything I’ve had was delicious. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is the best! This place is absolutely AMAZING and has pretty well priced items. Are waiter was also really sweet and accommodating to what my daughter wanted when it was not even on the menu. This is a GREAT place to eat. Highly recommend!!!

It’s a Sunday morning and we’re on the lookout for a new place to try. Yolk House came up on google so we had to see for ourselves. We were greeted by a friendly face and seated quickly. The food choices all looked good. Our food came out hot and as ordered. Delicious. Impressive. Large portions for the money. Would come back to try this “soon to be available” dinner menu. Attached is one side of the menu along with total bill for our meal. Don’t pass up a tasty breakfast with attentive staff!
