1st visit and did not disappoint. The total in my party was 3. The food was fresh and plentiful. Our server was “Jesse,” and awesome. He was patient and experienced with the dishes and soups and helped us choose some of the items. When you go be ready for awesome experiences and ask for Jesse as your server. The overall cost was $40 each, worth every penny.

All you can eat! But you gotta cook it yourself. Wouldn’t recommend bringing little kids.
The meat is sliced thin, but still of pretty good quality. You can cook everything how you’d like on the 1 grill that sits right in the middle of the table. The hot pot is an induction cook top and there is 4 of them per table. You make your own spices and sauce mixture at a bar in the middle of the restaurant, they have a decent selection (although could use some Teriyaki @Tao). The balgogi sauced meat is really pretty good, kinda sweet, smoky, & Korean… I’ve not had a bad experience with service, they are all pretty nice.

Yall…if I could give them 10 stars I would!!!!!
Apologies on my pics….it’s the aftermath.

Everything was fresh, clean, tasty, and yummy. Even the bathroom was CLEAN! Love all the exotic foods and flavors. EXCELLENT, friendly service.
We got hotpot and Korea BBQ. WELL worth the price. MUCH cheaper than a trip to South Korea. It was fun and easy to do. The meal is timed. You have 2 hours and it is ALL you can eat.
The shrimp are HUGE!

There are a large variety of meats available-seafood, pork, chicken, beef, lamb.

Order 15 items (meat/veggies/etc.) at a time.
5 minute delay between orders. Cook your food at the table. Black containers are for the grill and white for the hot pot. Make your own sauces at the sauce counter. Honestly I didn’t use much sauce because my Tom Yum soup base was sufficient to infuse the meats and veggies cooked therein with plenty of flavor.

Each person at the four topper table (6 topper available as well) picks their own soup base. There is also miso and pork bone. There were a couple more but these are the ones we got. Our server was friendly and so were the hostesses at the front. They let me ask as many questions as I needed to. Don’t let the 2 hour time limit scare you. It is PLENTY of time. If everyone at the table helps with cooking and sharing it goes very well.

Wonderful for a large group of people. Communal meal. Share, cook and serve one another.

Tips-toss all your hot pot items in your hot pot as you receive them. Temp on high to get the pot hot…and adjust the temperature as you go. Up or down as needed. Use a side plate for fully cooked hot pot items to cool as they are done.

Tip-Put all your grill items on the grill as you receive them so that everything is cooking simultaneously. As items cook, flip them with the tongs and use scissors to cut the items then serve with tongs.

Use the iPad to order hot pot or grill specific items. Be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of each section so you don’t miss a thing! There are a plethora of food items to choose from. They even have dessert!

Unfortunately we did not make it to dessert. We were too busy eating quail eggs, calamari, fish cakes, rice cakes, pork belly, gyoza, lamb and other exotic foods. Don’t be shy or scared try new things!
We were made to feel welcome. Our server “Darren” was AWESOME, kind, courteous, and attentive.
Everything was delicious.
Additional sides available at the sauce bar-kimchi, seaweed salad, and more.
You can use your ipad to request items and contact your server. Your time limit is on your iPad…counting down.
We will be back. Wonderful.

10/10, would recommend. The wait time was a little long, but hey it’s 2025. Wait times are getting longer everywhere. Food was amaaazziinggg. Not sure where all the bland comments are coming from, they have a sauce station to create your own dip/seasonings for your broth if you need a little extra oomph! I got the Pork bone broth, husband got the Szechuan!

This place is amazing. My husband and I went for our anniversary. We did the Hotpot and BBQ. The staff was very friendly. I think the waitress could tell we didn’t know much about the sauces because she brought us some sauces that she recommended already in the dipping bowls. Just needed mixing. She was even thoughtful enough to ask if we had any food allergies beforehand. The atmosphere was nice and the spacing of everything was welcoming. Nothing was too close together but you still felt like the whole restaurant was enjoying the experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. I recommend this place for anyone looking for an eating experience, not just dinner. I was worried when I was told there was a time limit, but it ended up being more than enough time.

I had done some shopping at the Costco in Mobile and found myself starving and a quick Google search turned up this interesting sounding joint inside the Bel Air Mall. So I understand Korean BBQ and I understand Hot Pot but this new fad of so many places offering BOTH Korean BBQ and Hot Pot seems like overkill to me. This is the first joint I’ve been to that offers BOTH Hot Pot and Korean BBQ at the same time while other places seem to make you choose one or the other. This ends up being a huge amount of food so you really need to be hungry to make it worth the price. On average I generally like Korean BBQ quite a bit more than Hot Pot so that is an easy choice to make except here where you can have both. I found the meat quality here to be much better looking than I’ve seen at other Hot Pot places and on par or better with stand alone Korean BBQ joints. Overall this a good joint to eat at if you are really hungry and prefer cooking your own food over settling for whatever they have in the standard Asian buffet.

TAO’s is a great and lively spot for a social eating experience. I prefer their Korean BBQ over hot pot due to the quality of the meats. My gripe with TAO is that their ordering system is flawed with items missing, limit of 15 items per order, portion size (too small), and a slow pace of the orders coming out which degrades the experience. Otherwise, the experience is fun and is a great addition to the city!

Normally we love this place but today we had by far the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. So they had a lunch special they had going on from 12-3 (that’s why we came in) we got there at 2:15 and was told we were going to be served the lunch menu (didn’t have everything the dinner menu had) but by the time we check out they are going to charge us for the dinner price. I asked if we could go ahead and pay since we were here well before 3 and the waitress tells me no that she’s “uneducated” with the computer and we have no other option. So we ate a limited menu and was made to pay for the dinner menu that we only got to order from the last few minutes of us eating. Our waitress had the absolute worst attitude the entire time and we had to find her to get refills on our drinks or anything we needed. The whole experience was horrible which is really disappointing because we come here a lot.
