New store. Tried for 1st time. Ordered 3 piece chicken finger meal with side of cole slaw. Very good, love the sauce and cole slaw. Meal served hot and fresh and was a little busy. Will definitely go back.

Good, juicy chicken strips. Cooked to perfection everytime. Their sauce is amazing. Fries and bread are good and its not terribly expensive. They are new, so I dont expect it to last at this level, go now while its great! Went back today 9/27, same experience except I swear the tenders are so much smaller!

I will start this review by saying I’ve been here twice already and the chicken was very fresh both times I went. I don’t know where they get that Texas toast from but it is heavenly!
The reason I gave four stars and not five is because this is the second time I’ve gone there and not got ketchup for my fries. I don’t understand why someone would give french fries and not give ketchup or at least ask if the customer wants ketchup. It just doesn’t make any sense to me so that’s my reason for four stars. Other than that I’ve had a great experience both times.
Now as always here’s my sweet tea review for southerners, it’s pretty good. The second time I went was not as sweet as the first time I went but it was still pretty good.

I’m always on a quest for the best chicken fingers in town so when I saw a new spot I had to try it…and I was not disappointed! They’ve got some kind of magic oil in those fryers because the chicken and fries were the PERFECT level of crispiness. The chicken fingers are fairly small compared to some places so order at least one more than you might usually get, but then be prepared for moist, lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned chicken. (Not too salty like some places are IMO) And the fries…crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Perfect. And they stayed crisp the whole time. The Guthrie sauce is great and I also got ranch for my fries and it’s my favorite kind – thin but flavorful like from a diner. Texas toast is great. Slaw is decent, I’ve had better but I’ve also had much much worse. I just did the drive thru in late afternoon and there were no other cars and the person who served me was nice. Got a slight discount on my meal because I didn’t need a drink.
All in all this jumped to #1 on my list as far as fast food chicken fingers. I wish it was closer to my house, although my waistline is probably thankful it isn’t!

Guthrie’s Golden Fried Chicken Fingers is a welcome newcomer to Greer’s ever-growing restaurant scene. Their chicken tenders taste a lot like Zaxbys’, with the main difference being that Guthrie’s are actually juicy and fresh. The toast is dense and flavorful, even if a bit rich. The fries were basically unseasoned, which is a big downside considering that salt and other seasonings stick best when the fries are hot out of the fryer. The environment is very welcoming and open, reminiscent of Huey Magoo’s in Greenville. One of the biggest downsides of dining in here is the lack of a self-serve soda fountain. Having to wait in line to get an employee to refill my drink multiple times throughout my meal is a significant inconvenience. Overall, this new restaurant seems to be serving excellent, fresh food and I’m excited to see how it settles here in Greer.

My first impression of this new restaurant wasn’t the best nor the worst. The Customer service was excellent! Even though it was extremely busy due to the restaurant recently opening I appreciate the patience the cashier had with me while I tried helping my mother who has early Alzheimer’s read the menu and figure out what she would like to eat. Not once did I feel rushed or belittled while helping my mother unlike other establishments i’ve been to. The atmosphere felt very friendly and family oriented. Both of those categories get 1000/10 for me. After all that I hate to say the food portion really disappointed me. We had ordered a 3piece chicken meal spending about $10. Now the food tasted pretty decent. Yet for $10 I received 3 “chicken tenders”, but were more like 3 little chicken nuggets. I wouldn’t justify spending $10 for that meal more like $6. I completely understand with this place recently opening they are still getting into the widths of everything, and that the portions or price will improve down the road. What stood out to me the most was the patience and overall outstanding customer serviced I received because sadly in this day of age, you can’t find that at most establishments anymore.

The best chicken fingers around! First time I had them I knew I had to have more. Prices are reasonable. Service is typical fast food. The chicken has a great crunch and a wonderfully savory taste with no greasy feel or taste at all. Sides are tasty as well. The slaw gets a mention for being like my granny made.

WOW! Their chicken fingers are MUCH better than Zazbys and the most tender I have ever eaten! They do chicken tenders…..period! My wife and I love this place. 12/31/25….still great!

He listened and provided feedback about everything I mentioned in the last review. This was not just another “unhappy customer, let’s just give them food for shut them up “ experience.
