We had high hopes for the food here. The wings were really mediocre. Lemon pepper wings lacked flavor. Appeared to be a dry rub but needed more seasoning. Did have some smoked flavor but they were pretty chewy overall. Pickle spears were good but seemed like they could have been prefrozen. Mac and cheese balls were the best thing we ordered. Few people at the table ordered burgers and they said they were good. Fries looked handcut and good. Beer and atmosphere is good, but the food items need some attention. There’s a very large selection of food. May need to scale down and focus on a smaller menu.

Great beer and service.
Neat sports oriented brewpub. Many screens and 2 virtual sports bays.
Natalie was a wonderful and attentive server.
For my taste, the Aliferous stout is one of the best stouts that I have ever tasted.
Nice, large enclosed patio dining area.

Nice second location for Firemaker Brewing! I’ve been to the OG spot roughly 10 times, so knew what to expect in terms of beer and food options. The taproom definitely feels more like a sports bar and restaurant than an actual brewery, but that’s not a bad thing. Beer is enjoyable, and the food has improved since they added their own personal kitchen (I accidentally ate a chicken tender before snapping a picture). This location is superior to the Atlanta spot. Lots of natural light, great bar setup, and golf simulators. Based on the TV setup, it’s a great place to watch a game. Brewery is only a 5-minute walk from Piedmont Brewing; making it a good 1-2 punch. I visited during the soft open and while I see where some minor kinks need to be worked out there’s definitely plenty of time to fix these issues.

I have been here a few times. I want to say first I’m not a beer drinker, after many attempts to find a beer I like, this place has it. 4th Down is their version of Oktoberfest, it’s the best. Ceira was my bartender and she is the best!! Brett was the Manager on Duty and doing a phenomenal job! I ordered the Mac and Cheese Balls, the Meat Lovers Flatbread, and Red Velvet Cookie. All were delicious and served very quickly! Kudos to the kitchen staff. I will continue to come here for my Friday nights, and Sport Games!

We came in on a whim for a late dinner and we were very pleased. Jenna was awesome and very friendly. The chicken tenders and onion rings were way past sub par. They were delicious. Not your typical bar food AT ALL. We will return for sure !!!!!

I visit Southern Social in Griffin, GA on a weekly basis and have always had such a great experience. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and just the kind of place you can relax and enjoy yourself. It has that perfect balance of lively but still comfortable.
Everyone is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. A special shoutout to Brett the bartender — he is awesome! Super personable, quick with service, and makes the whole experience even better.
If you’re looking for a spot in Griffin with great vibes and even better service, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Brett was great behind the bar. I asked if he could make a mocktail and he made me a virgin strawberry piña colada that was honestly so good. It was refreshing and had really great flavor, not overly sweet like some mocktails can be. The space itself is really nice too—very open and comfortable, which made it a great place to sit and relax. I’d definitely order that drink again!!

Update: We went back for the New Year’s Eve open bar and DJ Ziggy. Had a great time and we actually ordered the lemon pepper chicken wings and they were good! So hopefully they’ve seen the reviews and made some positive changes. It’s a great bar and we will be back!
This place could be awesome if it weren’t for the food. Our server, Kenzley, was fantastic. The drinks were awesome. The ambiance was really nice for watching football. BUT the food! We ordered the yum yum shrimp first, and they were ok, though small and definitely poured from a freezer bag into the fryer. Then I ordered chicken tenders with sauce on the side, and my husband got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The tenders looked beautiful, but they were hot so I went to cut them with a knife and fork and first, all of the breading just fell off, every bit of it. Also, it was almost impossible to cut the tender, like it was made of rubber. I finally cut a little piece and got my husband to try it, because I didn’t dare. He said it tasted awful and had a tough rubbery texture, as I suspected. I told the server and she apologized and got me another menu to pick something else. I ordered a burger with mushrooms and Swiss cheese next. The burger was edible, but that’s it. I’ve had MUCH better from burger King. Husband said the Philly cheesesteak was a far cry from any kind of “steak”. The fries were also edible, but just plain, unsalted, frozen deep fried fries. I added salt. Anyway, we enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere, so I hope the right person reads this and will make some changes in the kitchen. This place could be phenomenal if the food didn’t suck. What a shame.

Black mold covered the lettuce in my wife’s salad. Out of buns at noon on Saturday. Fries cold and undercooked. Charged for sauce I never got and for dressing for salad that wasn’t edible.
No one in our party of 4 ate more than half our food but still paid almost $70 plus tip.
Probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.
