We had a fun evening at Brownyn. The server was hilarious and made our experience entertaining and enjoyable. They offer a variety of beer with three size options. The pretzel was tasty although the mustard had more horseradish than we like. The pork schnitzel is all of the hype and more. Absolute perfection. The bratwurst and potatoes were tasty as well. This is a must when in Arlington.

Super delicious German food in a beautiful space. Inside enjoy the dark stained wood with high backed chairs or benches. Outside looked like great outdoor seeing – like a bier garden. They’re currently decorated up for October fest 9/20-10/24 or something.
The food was definitely phenomenal. We took advantage of the 3 course prix fixe menu and enjoyed the beet salad, fried pierogi, schnitzel, sausage with spetzel, mousse and donuts. All of the food was fantastic.

The best German food I have had outside of Europe. This place is phenomenal. Everything was prepared to perfection and the drinks were excellent. Highly recommended. It was packed when we arrived right after opening, so definitely reserve your seats (we did).

Attended their Octoberfest celebration so it was a busy weekend but they should staff accordingly. There was no dedicated hostess. & it seemed a bit chaotic. The best thing we did was sat at the bar waiting for our table and shared a huge giant homemade Bavarian pretzel with delicious maple butter – a definite must! I felt like I was back in Germany! Unfortunately, I did not care for the homemade Bratwurst. And was very disappointed when they ran out of ice cream to put on the homemade strudel with apples and raisins, which was fabulous. What restaurant runs out of vanilla ice cream? Especially during an Octoberfest weekend!! And half of the music they played during dinner was American songs – a bit disappointing! I would highly recommend the beef brisket with German potato salad and red cabbage!!

Vermont local farms and craft beer meet fresh takes on German-inspired cuisine. Go for the 3 or 4 course meals. German and Vermont beers on draught as well as a wine and cocktail selection. Make sure you come hungry because the portions are generous. The winter vegetables, venison goulash, schnitzel, picked eggs and cucumbers were wonderful. The butterscotch, cinnamon dessert hit the spot. The ambiance puts you comfortably someplace between a Vermont tavern and German restaurant/Bierhall. German visitors will be pleasantly surprised at fresh interpretations of traditional dishes. Everything was fresh and homemade from beer cheese spread to sausages. Recommend making a reservation in winter months! There’s also a large bar.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The pickled eggs, charcuterie and pierogi starters were all so delicious while also complex. Our entrees were also all incredible. We left so full that we got dessert to go (also phenomenal.) Our server, I wish I caught her name, was very informative, knowledgeable and very attentive; especially since we were very new to the terms. 1000% will go back.

We were visiting the Manchester area for a quick getaway and discovered this restaurant through Google Maps. The menu was so appealing we couldn’t wait to visit. We made a reservation, though probably not necessary for a Monday night in June. When presented with the menu, we noted that the 3 course menu had been replaced with a BBQ Plate. I was so disappointed- I had really looked forward to Sauerbraten and Apple Kuchen. Luckily, most of the small bites/starters remained on the menu, so we were able to try the pretzel with delicious spicy mustard and maple butter, and the potato pancake with sweet applesauce & sour cream. It’s advertised also with horseradish, but I could not detect it. We each had the burger for our entree with fried diced potatoes. A nice entree, but not what we had expected to be dining on. Salmon and pork schnitzel were 2 other entree options ( there may have also been a vegetarian option, I don’t remember)We skipped dessert.Overall it was a good experience, but the unexpected menu change caught us off guard, so 4 stars for food.

Authentic German food and an authentic experience all around from the beer selection to the decor and atmosphere. I’ve had outstanding food and service every time here , I know they make everything in house, I recommend that everyone try this place.
