Reviews
We regularly enjoy their takeout, as well, and the quality is always just as amazing.
Tonight, we visited for dinner and started with Gyoza Pan-Seared Dumplings and Sakura Fried Shrimp appetizers, both beautifully presented and deliciously crisp with just the right balance of flavor and sauce. For entrées, I enjoyed my go-to favorite, the 007 Roll, and my husband loved the Spinach Fried Rice with Chicken and Shrimp, which was cooked perfectly and full of fresh ingredients.
The ambiance is stylish and relaxing, featuring an elegant bar with an extensive wine and cocktail selection and an open sushi bar where guests can watch the chefs craft each roll with precision. Every detail, from the beautiful presentation to the attentive, friendly staff, makes dining here an exceptional experience.
If you’re looking for consistently fresh, flavorful sushi, inventive Asian entrées, and an inviting atmosphere, Sushi-O Midlothian is the place. After all these years, it remains our favorite date-night spot and hands down, the best sushi around!
The crew was fast and awesome! Every thing I tried was amazing, and later I had got gotten some General Tso! Amazing! Can’t wait to try them again!
5-Stars!
Tried the variety of sushi and enjoyed it, we also tried the new york stripe and it was delicious.
Yes the rolls are a bit more expensive than the places in Short pump and West End (we paid like $150 for everything in the pictures) , but they are mouth watering!
I do recommend the miso grilled calamari appetizer, the squid was fresh and meaty, kinda wish they added a bit more miso, but the dipping sauce does compliment the miso squid.
Here are my two favorite rolls:
Picasso Roll – A Flavor Masterpiece
The Picasso Roll blends spicy tuna and creamy avocado, but it’s the chili garlic oil that steals the show! Garlicky, slightly sweet, and just the right amount of heat. Each bite bursts with bold, savory flavor and umami depth. The crispy snapper tempura and drizzle of eel sauce add texture and balance.
3 A.M Roll – A Luxurious Late-Night Craving
With real tempura lobster and spicy blue crab, the 3 A.M Roll is rich, meaty, and satisfying. The bright yuzu sauce lifts the buttery seafood (personal preference varies), while avocado, cucumber, and tobiko add freshness and crunch. A finish of spicy mayo or eel sauce ties it all together beautifully.
