I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews here. Regarding the owner: I’ve observed that he usually IS tough on his staff, but he has always been very friendly and pleasant to customers when I’ve been there. Regarding the food: This place has THE best marinara sauce I’ve ever had, hands down, and their shrimp & broccoli alfredo is phenomenal too. The one drawback I can think of is the wait staff. They apparently have very high turnover with servers, as there is a completely new lineup every time I go there…and frankly, you never know what you’re gonna get. Some of them are great, while others are clearly unhappy to be there. I chalk this up to the fact that the owner is hard on them, but the food is still good enough to keep me coming back. All in all, Venice is my 1st choice whenever I’m going out for Italian locally.

Well, the last two times (Out of four times ordering) I’ve ordered from here I do have a few things I’d like to say:
1) The drink I ordered was never included. I’ve ordered Dr. Pepper twice, and both times it has never been remembered. The first time the man came back with a 2 liter, and the second the man came back with a 16 – 18 oz. cup. So, I’m still unsure as to how much soda I should actually be reviving is. 2) Why does it take 10-15 minutes to go back and get a soda? I literally live up two streets from Venice. It really shouldn’t take that long to deliver a drink. Also, I understand that they may have had to run someone else their order, but you couldn’t have said something?
3) Most of the people who have delivered to my house have been nice, but the one guy today in particular didn’t seem too invested in catering to my needs.
4) The food, in particular today, mostly tastes microwaved. The pasta tastes rubbery and tough, the cheese tastes kind of like its been heated and re-heated, and chilled, and re-heated. Lastly, the sauce tastes like something you would get coming from canned sauce at your local grocery mart. Also, I already thought it was a little ridiculous how I can’t just have plain cheesecake. But it was even MORE ridiculous how when I had gotten it and tried it, it literally tasted like generic store-bought “New York Style” cheesecake, with watered down Hershey’s Chocolate for the “chocolate drizzle”.
Really though, there are things they serve that are particularly tasty. Much like their meat calzone, and garlic knots. Even though the garlic knots are a tiny bit if-fy sometimes…But I really think the only reason why the calzones don’t taste if-fy sometimes too is because I don’t believe there is any REAL way to microwave/defrost a calzone without having it obviously unappealing to taste. Even to the people who aren’t fans of Italian could taste how awful and fake that would be.
All in all…The only reason why I’m putting “It’s Okay” on this review is due to the some-what friendly service, and the ONE menu item I’ve ordered and been satisfied with. I definitely DON’T hate it (‘Hate” is a strong word…) but trust me when I say you could probably make these same dishes at home for a cheaper price, for better quality.

Me and my wife went there a few timed & it was ok. Nothing special. Our daughter got her first job there too. Big mistake. After what we were told what was in there kitchen, the owner being completely disgusting in front of customers, them shutting down when they got wind of inspectors coming in order to clean properly, we or our daughter has not been back.

They charged me $21 for two sausage subs & chips. Hardly any meat in them even at that ridiculous price. This place used to be pretty good, but not anymore. Save your money.

The food is good when it comes on time IF it comes with what you ACTUALLY ordered! They constantly have someone taking orders that does NOT completely understand English! -1/10 WILL NOT EAT ANYTHING FROM THERE AGAIN!!

First time going to this resturant tonight with myself and my husband the serves was ok,however the owner was yelling at the waitress about my order and kept giving me dirty looks,food finally came out and the homemade potato chips what i had ordered soft and what the owner was complaning about they came out hard and crispy which i sent back and had taken off my bill,my husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs was very bland and my hot wings were undesirable as well def.will not be going back here and the decor was outdated
