This place never disappoints. Called in an order to have them ready to take to my dad in the University of Iowa hospital. I had told him that when I pass through Iowa City, I always stop here before my final destination. Always playing some good music in the background, services with a smile, and very affordable.

This place is legit, fabulous food, amazing employees, clean. The only reason I gave it a four star is that it is in a strip mall in a suburb so there is no going out vibe, but the food is the real deal. It’s a little expensive, but they have lunch specials for $8.50

High quality pupusas and service. I came here with a party of 6 and the wait for our food was very reasonable and the servers were all very kind. I highly recommend the pupusas and yucca frita!

Plenty of seating available, all the Papusas are amazing, especially the Jalapeño and cheese! Fried Plantains are juicy and amazing, refried beans were good too. I do not recommend the horchata, but who cares about drinks as much when the papusas are delicious?

Food was definitely made with love. Was very impressed with depth of flavor, was so happy for vegetarian options. Very hearty and filling so they are a great value for the price point. Plantains were delicious. I loved the spicy sauce! Highly recommend, I look forward to coming back!

Despite the other reviews, my food was bland and very mushy. I couldn’t finish the the last pupusa. I am vegetarian so maybe the meat options are better considering thr other reviews. Service was nice but ambiance of the place was very basic.
