This was a quick bite, at 9pm. not a full dinner time meal. I want to go back and try traditional slow roasted, marinated birria.. Tres leches cake was delicious.!!!
Blue Habanero is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to! If you’re vegetarian, you’ll love that they don’t use lard (animal fat) in their rice and beans, making it a truly vegetarian-friendly spot.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with great interiors and plenty of parking. It also seems to be family-owned, which adds to the charm.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply phenomenal!
The chips were flavorful and authentic, with just the right amount of salt and a hint of paprika.
Both salsas were bursting with flavor, and I highly recommend trying their extra-hot salsa if you enjoy a good kick!
The vegetarian burrito was easily the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The spicy sauce took it to another level—every bite was packed with rich, delicious flavors. An absolute must-try!
The vegetarian cheese quesadilla was also fantastic—crispy veggies, a perfectly cooked tortilla, and soft, melty cheese that brought everything together beautifully.
And the best part? It’s all very reasonably priced. Lunch for two cost just $37, which is a steal considering the quality and taste of the food.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and vegetarian-friendly Mexican cuisine, Blue Habanero is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!
Back again – this time tried few more items in menu and it was amazing like before. Service is stellar!
The Aguas Frescas are phenomenal—refreshing and delicious, a perfect complement to the meal.
The only item that didn’t meet my expectations was the Nachos Tejanos. Personally, I don’t believe cheddar cheese belongs in traditional Mexican nachos, but that’s just my opinion.
Aside from that, everything I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine!
I don’t consider myself cheap, but I don’t like spending $5 on a small side of rice and $5 on a small side of beans, That’s $10 added to a $16 enchilada for lunch. Then $1.50 for sour cream when your meal comes with sour cream on it. Two of the enchiladas had sour cream one didn’t, so I asked for a small bit of sour cream and they charged me $1.50 I am so against that. Plenty of places around make good Mexican food so I’ll find another place to eat.
