The 5-stars is more a comparison to the approximate five other in-house ski-resort restaurants we’ve dined (WY, UT, VT, WV). Independently, I’d still give 4-stars; we ate multiple meals at this lodge restaurant – not typical for us. They were all very pleasing experiences.
The food is very good. The service, also good, just not as reliable as the food. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. – We scored sitting in front of the fireplace for nearly every meal! Some of the items we enjoyed: pancakes – freakin’ yum! they had a sort of crispness around the edges and fluffy interior, olympic b’fast sandwich, CO b’fast – both with delicious cubed potatoes and onions, a b’fast burrito, chicken caesar…I’d like to report on more options, but the above were so good we kept going with those… Prices were no different than other nearby restaurants.

The server did a good job but my dish was dry and bland. Bolognese sauce typically is meat heavy but is supposed to have some juice/liquid within the sauce. There was no sauce – it was just junks of meat. The kitchen “closed” and couldn’t open the fridge to bring out more Parmesan on the already dry and tasteless dish. The prices were too high for the below average atmosphere and food. It felt like a glorified bar with tables. I would not go back or recommend.

Service was phenomenal. The breakfast was even better. I recommend the breakfast sandwich. Drinks are a bit pricy. I’d go elsewhere if you are looking for a boozy brunch. We were able to make reservations online, would definitely come back for the food. Very delicious.

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would without hesitation. The food was terrible and was too overpriced and the drinks were watered down. We paid $34.00 for terrible artichoke dip and two margaritas… during happy hour.

Good breakfast (from the menu). The breakfast buffet is overpriced and a poor value. We were steered to the buffet by the hostess our first day there without mentioning the ridiculous price. They should always provide menus and ensure the buffet price is included on the menu.

It is no longer The Cabin. Now it’s called The Crooked Antler so reading the menu for The Cabin won’t do you any good. It is unclear where to park. We arrived in time for brunch but the waitress did not get our order quickly enough and the kitchen said no. So we ordered from the dinner menu. But then we were informed that the dinner menu was not available until 5. It is unclear what you can order between 3 and 5. We had burgers. I would not recommend them. A total disappointment!

We visited the Cabin at the Grand and had a wonderful meal and fantastic drinks. The bartender Nate mixed us up a tasty memorable Espresso martini and the Manager Justin was friendly personable and attentive making sure we felt welcome and at home. We will definitely patronize the Cabin and hope to see our new friends Nate and Justin again!

The Huevos Rancheros were the best I’ve ever had — and I’ve ordered and ate this meal at countless restaurants as my “go to” over my lifetime. It was unique, the sauce was perfect and tangy, and the fried bread presentation was unique and yummy.
Restaurant is under construction currently and that’s why I removed a star for atmosphere.

Have no idea why this is rated under a 4. Sounds like the menu changed recently which makes this a top notch choice. Specialty drinks are a must have and food was amazing with choices for my whole family. We all loved it and you will too!!!
