Madame Blanc is a champagne bar,/wine bistrot, with also a small outdoor dining area, right in front of one of the most beautiful Romanic churches in Italy, Verona’s San Zeno. While the setting is neat and clean but rather basic and unassuming, this restaurant offers a limited but very interesting menu, mostly fish and seafood based. The dishes are well cooked and some of the ingredients and combinations attractive.
The service is kind and efficient.

I made a reservation yesterday via the fork app (50% off) and I was very disappointed. The service was very slow, we arrived at 7:55 and our starters arrived at 8:40.
The food was amazing, everything we ordered was delicious. The only miss was at the patanegra dish, some pieces were dry and chewy, but overall we loved everything.
But as I said service was slow and indifferent, we ordered the tartare di tonno to share because we wanted to try it and we were full at this point. the waitress just put the plate in front of my husband, came back with one fork and left before we had the chance to tell her that we need two forks, the plate is to share. My husband had to get up and take a second fork himself, as if the restaurant is self service.
My husband told her as we were leaving that the food was amazing but the service was awful.
They should really improve their customer service, I definitely don’t recommend even though the food is amazing and wouldn’t visit again.

I wanted a tasting flight of champagne to pick one… I must have communicated poorly. Tried a few but never had my request for a glass fulfilled. Waited long time while others were served. Left early. Will try again another time! Great selection, great food, slightly uncomfy seating. If you like bubbles, go give it a shot!

Siamo stati da Madame Blanc a Verona e l’esperienza è stata positiva, anche se con qualche pecca.
Abbiamo preso un crostone estivo con pesca, stracciatella e pane alla curcuma: davvero ottimo, croccante e ben farcito. Poi una pasta integrale con pesto di zucchine e ricotta salata, buona e ben bilanciata. Infine una calamarata con carbonara di mare: la crema era deliziosa e ben fatta, si sentiva l’accuratezza negli ingredienti, con sferificazione di alici, pepe nero in grani piccoli, pesce spada e tonno affumicato, molto gustoso.
Per i dolci abbiamo scelto una tartelletta con crema pasticcera e mirtilli e un cannolo siciliano scomposto: entrambi molto buoni.
Nota dolente: entrambe le paste erano purtroppo troppo cotte (l’ho fatto presente anche alla ragazza che ci ha serviti, che è stata molto gentile).
Il servizio, per quanto cortese, è stato però troppo lento, con tempi d’attesa eccessivi e difficili da giustificare.
La location è molto bella e curata, quindi sicuramente un posto dove tornare, sperando in una cottura della pasta più al dente e in un servizio più rapido.
AGGIORNAMENTO RECENSIONE:
Siamo tornati una seconda volta e ci siamo trovati ancora meglio: la carbonara di mare è arrivata finalmente al dente e sublime; abbiamo provato anche le linguine al nero di seppia con burrata e tartare di gambero, molto buoni, oltre al crostone estivo e all’hummus di ceci con semi misti, davvero ottimo.
Questa volta il servizio è stato veloce e perfetto, sempre con la stessa gentilezza e cordialità.
In entrambe le occasioni la location è molto bella e i piatti ben curati, con abbinamenti particolari e riusciti. Sicuramente un posto dove tornare.

Siamo stati in questo localino proprio accanto al ristorante madame Blanc, siamo andati in quello accanto perché volevamo fare giusto un aperitivo e non pranzare del tutto. Ci siamo accomodati all’interno, il localino piccolino ma molto carino. Abbiamo preso due giri di spritz e delle stuzzicherie, tra cui la salvia fritta e i fiori di zucca fritti veramente ottimi. Inoltre nel tris che ci è stato portato erano presenti i tortellini fritti davvero sfiziosi per noi che siamo pugliesi è stata una sorpresa molto molto gradita. Il cameriere è stato molto gentile, consiglio vivamente di fermarsi in questo posto se si vuole fare aperitivo. Merita 5 stelle, e sicuramente il prima possibile proveremo anche il ristorante. L’unica forse pecca, consiglierei di abbassare poco poco la musica nel locale, quando è troppo alta un po’ disturba perché non si riesce a parlare. Per il resto tutto molto bello. Per due giri di spritz e due tris, due ciotole di salvie fritte e due ciotole di fiori di zucca e infine due caffè abbiamo pagato circa 25 euro a testa. Prezzi forse un pochino altini ma il locale merita anche perché si trova proprio a due passi dalla basilica di San Zeno.

Il locale è piccolo e la cucina è proporzionata ai posti limitati e, con la giusta attesa, abbiamo goduto di un’ottima cena con tre antipasti, bis di primi (di cui menzione speciale alla aglio olio e scampi) ed un pesce al forno carnoso e delicatamente saporito.

Un locale veramente bello e. Urano nei minimi dettagli e molto elegante.
Ci ha servito una ragazza bravissima nel suo lavoro che, oltre a consigliarci le pietanze ci ha fatto assaggiare dei vini sublimi. Consigliato!!!
