Santa Fe Mexican Grill & Cantina has that lively, colorful vibe you expect from a neighborhood Mexican spot. The portions are generous, the tacos and fajitas come out sizzling and flavorful, and the margaritas are strong enough to make the night fun without going overboard.
It’s not overly fancy, but it’s reliable, casual, and perfect for a laid-back dinner with friends. Solid comfort Mexican food with a festive atmosphere.

Santa Fe is a solid spot if you’re looking to switch up your Taco Tuesday routine. They offer 2 tacos for $5, and while I didn’t leave feeling completely full, it was a nice snack. The taco shells were particularly tasty. If you hit up their happy hour, you can also snag some happy drinks, making it an even better deal. I’ve eaten here before, and their food is consistently great. The staff is great and inside the restaurant has plenty of seating. They even make homemade tortillas. I even had them cater a work event once, and everyone was thrilled with the food. Highly recommend giving them a try!

My wife and I stopped by one warm Summer night … we had never eaten here even though it was a neighborhood place, so we decided to try. Typical, passable Tex-Mex fare as you will find in most Seattle Mexican restaurants, good portions but nothing really stood out and frankly, looking at the extensive menu, I didn’t expect anything surprising. Food was served hot and quickly after the obligatory Chips, salsa and drinks. Weirdly, the beef enchilada had just a smear of (ground!) beef inside … pretty disappointing. Word to the wise: the “Skinny Margarita” is the classic drink without any of the unnecessary embellishments and is perfectly good … I did, however, have the absolutely worst Mojito in my life just before (limp slimy mint, yuk and WEAK!) So stick with XX or the Skinny Marg. Bill was expensive for what we received, drinks are pricey. Accomodates a Gluten-free diner without issues … our waiter was very attentive and friendly so good marks for excellent service.

Stopped by with a friend to catch up and ended up having an odd experience. The waiter was .. odd. He kept coming back to check at the most inappropriate moments and sporting a different accent on each visit, sort of caricature -like each time. Also a little louder each time.
The food, just average Mexican fare, but none of our choices stood out. The queso fundido was good but we did not order it. The birria quesadilla was underwhelming along with the mole.
My friends enjoyed the margarita.
The experience was such that I’m in no hurry to return. 🙁

I went with one other person on a Tuesday around 1 clock and it was not very busy. The food was absolutely delicious especially the tacos. We had the street tacos and chicken enchiladas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If in the area I would definitely come back.

so.. decided to try something a little more “fancy” and went based off of the reviews. unfortunately, the food was extremely mid and definitely not worth the price. i could’ve spent half as much and gotten better quality -and bigger portions- literally anywhere else. not to mention, the wait staff was standoffish and dismissive. 10/10 NOT coming back

Normally this place is pretty solid, which made this visit especially disappointing. Our server was rude and combative, particularly when my mom was trying to figure out her usual order. He seemed irritated and was cursing under his breath, which made the table uncomfortable. We even asked if he was doing okay since he seemed so agitated, and he replied “not really,” which added to the tension. We also ordered food to go that never arrived and never appeared on the bill, and given his attitude, we didn’t feel comfortable asking about it again. The overall experience was unpleasant and I am considering not returning.

I love this place I’ve stopped here a few times and every time I leave full and satisfied
I had Asada tacos and Al Pastor. The Al pastor was good , the tacos tasted amazing.
But what really won me in coming back was the Asada. Really great flavor that melts on your tongue.
There’s a drink called loco something and the bar tender always makes them taste like heaven.

AMAZING Mexican food with huge portions. I take friends and family who come visit from out of town and they frequently request to come back. It’s expensive, but I always come home with leftovers for the next day, so it’s well worth the price. The servers are so friendly, it makes you feel like you’re an old friend coming back.

I want to shout out Chepe! He helped me reserve a party of 18 for my birthday and my mom. My family arrived and we were quickly seated. He did such a fantastic job of giving us time to get together, look at rhe menu, and take our order in the most organized way possible. Our food came out pretty quick, keep in mind we were 18 people plus other tables!! Our food and drinks came out, we had chips and salsa. Then, he surprised us with churros! A mariachi sombrero and sang to us both for our birthday. Chepe and the other servers provided us with great service, positive attitude, and a fun time. I am truly grateful and impressed. My family and I had a great time! I would highly reccomend and do it again! The food was delicious, service was great!!
