We get here and are told to pick a seat. It’s not really crowded so we do. We took an hour and 10 minutes to get our food. Half an hour of that was waiting for a waitress that said she’d be with us soon. ( It was odd but they took a credit card at the start of ordering the food).
Food finally started coming to us after many requests and it was missing parts.( My ruebon had no sauerkraut. Just an empty bowl.) When food was all finally served it was too salty. We went ahead and finished and asked for a tab
. When I asked to split the bill I was told by one waitress that they couldn’t as there was no manager there atm. There were only three of us, and one guy wanted to pay for himself. The bill when we got it was off in numbers. First I asked the waitress to explain and they did, but I pointed out they were wrong cause her math wasn’t explaining it.she said she would ask the manager ….. Came back not knowing anything so said she would get the owner. The owner told her and she still didn’t understand so she offered to bring him to me. Then came back stating he was covering the door and I’d have to go there. He answered right away. We paid, and left( btw they charge you over $2 for using a credit card.)I do not recommend

Had a great time at the soft opening of the Bier Hall. Thank you for creating such a great space. The food and drinks were wonderful as was the live music and we really enjoyed the free pool tables.

All of the workers were very friendly. They were doing the best they could with their lack of help. We ordered 2 burgers and sauerkraut balls. It took 90 minutes to get our food. The sauerkraut balls are a nice size and the taste was the best I have ever had. Right now they are in a transition between 2 restaurants into 1. I am confident the kitchen and menu will improve.

Great food. Awesome server (Sammi) – she was so much fun and very attentive. Even the owner (George) stopped by our table and visited with us for several minutes – he was extremely friendly.
This wonderful place is over an hour from where we live, but we will still be back often.

My husband and I ordered a pretzel with cheese and two burgers with fries. After 30 minutes of waiting, we had to go up to the bar and ask for our appetizer. Our appetizer, the pretzel, was cold. We’d assume it was sitting there for awhile.
We then waited for our food, this took an additional 30 minutes. We had to ask the bar about our food as well. Our burgers came out and the fries were cold, and the burgers tasted microwaved.
We do not recommend eating here.

We enjoyed the live music featured at Biergarten and the outdoor seating. It’s great that this area is also family friendly. The indoor bar and dining area is also a great place to meet up with friends and offers a great beer selection. I wish they had a few more food options, but the pulled pork and home made chips we had were delicious.

This place is a pretty good time, especially during their major events. Generally clean and fun but every now and then, kinda sketch. Be careful if you go by yourself and stay alert, much like any bar. Some of the best fries in town tho!

Came in here for the first time this past weekend 02/10/23. I have to say, this is such a cool historic place! Limited food options, but who cares, drinks are good, fun atmosphere, super friendly and fun staff! We are from St. Louis, Missouri & I wish we had this exact place in our area! Will definitely visit again next time we are in Batesville, IN.
