Social Profile:

Located between Atascadero and Paso Robles off Hwy 101, this historic location on Main Street is a local legend. Like the town itself, the building that houses our project has undergone many changes since its construction in 1886. In the past century, it has been home to a finishing school, meat market, bank and an eatery or two, and the old mercantile. Now offering 3 full bars, a restaurant, live music venue and Mercantile retail shop, our space continues traditions that make Templeton special.

What an amazing historical building, fun atmosphere, great owners, amazing manger. The new counter service is perfect for the space. The Club Car Bar is beautiful. Trivia Night is a hoot and the music scene for the space is great! Definitely a space to go. They book events, private parties, they support local non profits.

We were under the impression the food was fresh made there but once we recieved the burger and onion rings it was clear this was out of the bag food service stuff. No flavor and totally unintersting. So much so I ended up discarding it before finishing it. The historical building is nice, but it’s just counter service and waiting in line for a bland frozen burger and bagged onion rings and fries makes it a not visit again place.

Breakfast at the Mercantile/Pig Iron (same ownership) is excellent! Potatoes and bacon were standouts. Good service, interesting building, and lots of events going on to engage the community. Very fair prices.
