Three Friends Jack, Mike and Ron founded the original Biksbee’s in Bethel in November 2006. Between them they had over 75 years’ experience in the restaurant business. Their vision was to create a casual restaurant that offered creative food at great prices and that’s what Biksbee’s offer – fresh food prepared from scratch.

Mixed reviews. We get their takeout a handful of times and the soups and burritos are great! The chicken Caesar wrap was not good. I don’t know what dressing they used but it wasn’t Caesar and their chicken had a seafood taste to it.. also ordered sweet potato fries and got the curly fries instead (which were good so didn’t really care that much)

I usually judge a burger by how well it holds up for takeout. Unfortunately, this one didn’t pass the test. I only drove about 5 minutes before opening it at Bethel train station, and the burger was already falling apart. The fries were soggy, and the chicken Caesar was very dry.
On top of that, the girl working the front desk spoke at barely a whisper, which made it really hard to hear and order.
Maybe dining in is a different experience, but for takeout it was disappointing. Not sure it’s worth going back.

An enthusiastic shout out to Biksbees in Dolan Plaza!! I can’t believe I have never had your burgers until now, but it has literally filled a sad gap in my life that has been there for a while(!), satisfied a massive craving last night, and made me so ridiculously happy (it was that good!!) And the fact that it was affordable (ie not $20 for just the burger), well, means I will be back—regularly!!
But let me talk about the burger: it was huge (we were hungry, so got the 8oz; there are two sizes to choose from!!) You had gluten free buns (well, bread, but it worked, and it was beautifully grilled, so who cares.) It was cooked to perfection (you can specify online—on Toast) exactly how you want it cooked. And it was GRILLED—like it had that “on the grill” deep flavor (without being charred.) And the types, and toppings!! Oh my!! SO many to choose from; you could have burgers for days and not get bored. We got ours with 2 sides of large sweet potato fries (like I said, we were hungry), which were also perfect—fresh, and crispy.
We stayed right within our budget for take-out food (about $30 for everything!), and could not have enjoyed it more. In fact, it was the happiest thing in my day (it was THAT good!) Haha!
Do yourself a favor, and if you want a really good burger—and fries!!— that doesn’t make a big dent in your budget, go to Biksbees!!!

Decided to try this place for lunch. The chicken panini is flavorless and overall has a really odd flavor. It’s mostly bread, and barely tastes like anything. I’m not able to finish it. I got a side of broccoli cheddar soup that was ok. It was thin and watery.
I’d best describe it as hospital food. Wouldn’t recommend.

Always loved it, but got a sandwich today and while the quality is good, come on. I know times are tight and everything is expensive, but this sandwich wasn’t close to worth what was charged for it. Give me a break, I remember what they used to be. I put all the meat on one side and threw out the other half. That plus a Foxon Park and $15.15 for that. Not worth, hope they do better next time.

Done with this place. I’ve frequented this place for 16 years. The last year the service has been horrible. The woman behind the counter constantly messes up orders, never has them ready on time and lies about online orders not coming through! The food quality has declined as well. Very disappointing, this was once a very good place.

As an ex owner of two successful restaurants in Manhattan, I would refer to my (delivered) dinner last night as the BEST soup and sandwich in Connecticut (and probably in USA). Delicious, authentic French Onion soup, and the best vegetable Ciabatta panini I ever had. The quality of the food is probably at the Michelin Star level. I don’t agree with this other review, I think Biksbee’s prices are too low. Lets tip them nice!
