The food that we ordered had very little taste. The salad was drenched and dressing that was overpowering. There was no onions or anything like that on the salad or the sandwich which they really needed. Definitely higher priced than the amount of food you get. I think this place has good potential they just need to reevaluate their menu and step it up a notch. The sandwich was okay as well. It should have had onions and pickles on it something to add more flavor. The lady before us ordered the same sandwich and they asked her what kind of chips she wanted they never gave us any chips it was supposed to come with.
People were very nice and the matcha was phenomenal. Unless they update their menu or upgrade their menu I won’t be coming back it’s not worth the price for the flavor or the size.

Very cute breakfast/coffee shop. From the outside you might be hesitant but once you walk into this gem you are transformed to a rustic, farmers market-esque cottage core paradise. The food is delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were huge and the blueberries were so fresh and juicy. They make everything to order. Definitely recommend!

A Surprising Gem in Douglas, AZ

I did not expect this, in the best way possible. Walking into this café felt like stepping into a trendy breakfast spot in Old Town Scottsdale. Bright, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm, the place was welcoming from the moment we walked in.

The breakfast menu is impressive, and the use of locally sourced farm-fresh eggs is a detail that really stood out. My son and I both loved the food and the atmosphere. He was even given a flower to give his mom, such a sweet touch that made the morning extra special.

What really struck me is how far this location has come. I remember this building 12 years ago when it was just a pizza joint. Today, it’s transformed into a lively, stylish, and family-friendly spot that brings something totally fresh to Douglas.

While Douglas doesn’t have many upscale dining options, this café doesn’t try to be something it’s not. Instead, it succeeds at being a warm, buzzing gathering place with a little funk, a little class, and a whole lot of heart. It’s not just good, for Douglas, it’s great. We’ll definitely be back.

Douglas, Arizona, is not on most tourism lists and very well could be if more of us spent time exploring. I have visited Douglas 3-4 times since 1974 when I lived nearby in Bisbee. My most recent visit, March.11.2025, was extremely rewarding because I found the Blueberry Cafe.

I will be staying in Douglas anytime that I have special dental needs because I have found an amazing dentist across the border in Agua Prieta, Dr. Cristobal F. Ortiz, who has helped me greatly. The Blueberry was my lunch spot earlier that day and also my breakfast restaurant the next morning. Alex, the manager, was so friendly and arranged for me to have my favorite style of crisp hash browns, crisp like burnt. I was dazzled that they were perfect as was the rest of my breakfast.

The coffee that the Blueberry uses is a Mexican specialty brand that is superior to most any cafe coffee that I have sampled in local Arizona cafes (or chains). Strong and flavorful.

I sat at a free-standing table that overlooked the cozier window seating areas. As local folks began pouring in for breakfast, my thoughts drifted away, listening to the various conversations and laughter. Even though I could barely hear the stories being shared, I felt right at home. It’s a peaceful and timeless experience to spend an hour here. Thank you for surprising me with a new hangout for my visits.

This little cafe is great! The food was absolutely delicious! I got the French toast, and it was covered with fruit and whip cream and so good. I also got the veggie scramble, and it was uniquely delicious! I would definitely come here again as the staff were super friendly. Thank you so much!!

Stopped by Blueberry Cafe this morning at their brand spanking new location located at 600 G Avenue in Douglas, AZ (locals will remember the building as the old La Frenzy/old Pizarrama). The interior is tastefully and intricately decorated and they did well with the massive space, making it feel cozy and like you’re at home. The service was extremely friendly, further extending that feeling of home. We kept it simple with two drip coffees, a traditional breakfast, and Concha French Toast. We also could not pass up trying their homemade bacon and cheese quiche. The coffee is excellent and an excellent choice for coffee in this town, the breakfast was solid with tasty an simply executed toast, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. Cocha French Toast is a viral online sensation which could make some skeptical, but it was a flavorful sweet treat covered in fresh whipped cream, fruit and chocolate syrup. Very well done here, it was so tastefully topped that you may not even need the syrup! The quiche was a cheesy and savory flavor explosion, highly recommended. All in all, it was an excellent experience. There was a small delay in getting the food out and in payment, but it’s a new locale with newer staff, so you gotta give them a minute to get their bearings. I have full confidence in this being resolved in the very near future. Whether you want breakfast, lunch, or just to sip a cup of coffee in an upbeat, yet chill environment, come check it out. We WILL be back for lunch sooner rather than later.

The Nutella muffin was wonderful and the smoothie was tasty and healthy (to counteract the unhealthy muffin). They have made the atmosphere relaxing, but could use some couches and comfy chairs to augment their “diner” atmosphere. It’s local and good, so I’ll definitely visit again!
