The building and decor are amazing and the food matches. We had an fabulous meal, its just a shame it was served to us by teens who obviously wanted to be anywhere but there. If the service matched the food it would be terrific and we would return. But unfortunately poor service at this price point means we won’t be.

I went to this restaurant recently, and the atmosphere and décor were really nice, warm and welcoming. The customer service was good too, and the food arrived fairly quickly, which was a plus. Portion sizes were decent, and the pricing was quite affordable. In terms of taste, the food was just average—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. It’s definitely not the best Italian food I’ve had, but also not the worst. Overall, it’s a decent place to try once, especially if you’re in the area, but I probably wouldn’t come back here to satisfy a craving for Italian food.

We had a lovely meal here. There was a lot of good choices on the menu to chose from. We both really enjoyed the dishes we picked. Full of flavour and a decent size portion. The resturant itself is warm cosy and nicely decorated. Friendly staff. We look forward to coming back here sometime in the future

The food was amazing! It was quite crowded and one particular server literally snapped at us “You need to keep quiet when I bring out the food”. I understand that serving a big party at rush hour is tough but I don’t appreciate being spoken to that way. Only dampener in an otherwise amazing evening. Would go back for the food. Delicious!

Pricey but delicious food with big portions, wonderful atmosphere and decor; we had the seafood zuppa (soup) and seafood risotto – the calamari was so tender! With their coffee would have been nice if they offered a complimentary amaretto biscuit. Also, it would have been nice if they offered plant-based drinks e.g. coconut milk hot chocolate, and food, for Christmas lent/fasting.

Probably the best setting in Norwich. A romantic cobbled street, and a beautiful building. That’s about where the positives stop. The inside feels tacky, dated and cramped. The service is very very poor with teenagers deliberately ignoring eye contact, and management clearly pulling them up on it but nothing changing.
The food is average and the price is fairly high. Starters are clearly frozen with a hefty markup.
Cocktails were expensive as you’d expect but very, very poor quality.
Very, very disappointing overall. £75 wasted on a starter, two basic pasta mains, and two drinks. We couldn’t order desert because we couldn’t get anyone to serve us for 30 minutes after we finished our main.

Quaint Italian, very quiet the evening we went. Decent food, perhaps a tad expensive, but good service and the tiramisu was very good.
Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet meal (there are plenty of livelier places in the area if that is your bag).

Last night our party of nine enjoyed the most wonderful evening at Trattoria Rustica on Princes Street, one of our long‑time favourite restaurants in Norwich. We’ve visited many times, but this visit truly stood out.

We chose the Christmas festive menu and every dish was exceptional — from the mussels to the cannelloni, the tiramisu, and even the vegan pancakes, which were a delightful surprise. We ended the evening with a round of limoncello, the perfect finishing touch to a beautiful meal.

The Ouchai family and their team are always so lovely and attentive. Their hospitality creates such a warm and cosy atmosphere that you instantly feel welcomed and relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy an intimate dinner for two or celebrate with a larger group and still feel completely looked after.

If you’re looking for a memorable evening filled with authentic Italian flavours, heartfelt service, and a setting full of charm, you absolutely must try this restaurant.

Food tasted good, ordered a seafood dish with muscles. Only downside was the muscles still contained their beards which isn’t very appealing/appetising.
As for service, we asked for a jug of tap water for the table – it never arrived. And despite the restaurant being partially empty, no staff came to see if the food was okay or if we needed anything else.

I’ve eaten here on a previous visit and it was lovely. Tonight it was very quiet, the lad sorting tables went to check whether they were taking any more orders (at 20:30) and said that they were. They then ignored me completely for 10 mins until I left. They could have just said no!
