I went around 6pm no one was there except a few people at the bar. A few meaning 3 people. Service was slow. The waitress was nice but slow and didn’t check in to see what was needed throughout our greasy dinner.
Yes it was typical bar food but very greasy. I figured it looked like a dive bar which normally has great food… not this place. My opinion not worth the time and with how slow they are it was a lot of wasted time & calories. .

Great food, it tasted just like grandmas homemade Italian spaghetti and meatballs.
plus it was the best garlic Bread I’ve ever had in my almost 4 decades on this earth. Prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere and service were wonderful!

This was Dad’s(Ozzie Kelly) favorite place. I can’t thank the staff and the owner enough on how wonderful they treated my Dad. When he needed assistance, I would take him for his “Social Time” they treated us like family. Dad is gone now but I will always remember our time at O’Donnell’s.

I love the redesign too the interior. Old O’donnell’s had become dated and dungeon-like. However, their menu was very popular. I think local acceptance might have been better if the favored items had been retained (Manhattan Clam chowder, fried seafood, crab cakes) while making other menu changes. Gloucester is pretty old school. Joey O’Donnell was something of a local hero. My grandparents knew him and ate here and my parents loved coming for dinner. But, aesthetically, the physical changes are great. Love the Mac n cheese and my taste of the shepherds pie made me want to order it next time. I’ve not had better restaurant fries anywhere. I also loved the Angus sliders. Good luck with the menu changes!

I won’t be back. Offensive drink special, staff getting drunk with customers (completely unprofessional), and music so loud I couldn’t hear my own thoughts. Not to mention an underage girl behind the bar taking orders. It was like a bad college party and not an actual place of business. There are better places in town.
