WE DON NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE OLD DONUTS, NO JALAPEÑOS INSIDE KOLACHS I TRY TELLING THEM DONUTS WERE HARD AS A ROCK THEY CLAIM THEY WERE JUST MADE I KNOW WHEN SOMETHING FRESHLY MADE WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR FOOLING SIR!! I’ve been to a few Donut Factory locations and like the others, the donuts and kolaches are tasty, I just think this location needs a little better organization and updating. Simple things like not having boxes scattered behind the counter and maybe updating the outdated counter would do a lot for the place. If you are solely worried about how the food is, id say it’s worth checking out.

Visit 8-2-22: Today my friend and I had kolaches. She had the jalapeno/cream cheese one and I had the small sausage/cheese one. They were delicious! The bread used here is divine! I’ve been in here many times over the past four years and the food is always a treat.

The kolaches are delicious and the donuts are light and fluffy with just the right amount of filling! I usually don’t like buying coffee from a shop because it’s always way too strong but their coffee is perfect. My son says they’re better than Shipley’s! (Honestly, I can’t disagree with him)

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years since I moved to La Porte while the owners I think have changed within those years they still have the same delicious kolaches the best kolaches than anywhere I’ve been. Simple and delicious. Would change 4 stars to five if they had glazed blueberry donuts they go good with kolaches!!!

We have a 5 year old who’s a lil bit picky, and she wanted a pink and a blue donut. They had pink immediately available, but no blue. When we mentioned it, they made us a blue one. The service was fast and polite. The kolaches are yummy too! Kinda wishing we weren’t on vacation so we could get this every day.

Came in at 10, guy on phone the whole time we were there! Asked for 2 decaf coffees. Gave us our coffee left & went to sit by the water…..tasted like mud. Creamer never looked like it was in the coffee brown.
You w/think if you saw 2 potentially new customers ask for coffee you wouldn’t give the 8:00 coffee. Never going back!

Stopped here while I was in town for work to grab some breakfast.
There is plenty of parking out front. The service was great, the employee was super nice and friendly. There were a ton of options to choose from. I have no self control when it comes to snacks so I ordered a little bit of everything. I got donut holes, boudin kolache and a cinnamon roll. I would say that the donut holes were my favorite of all the things I ate. I think they would have been much better if they were a little warmed up. The boudin kolache was good as well. The cinnamon roll I wasn’t too much of a fan of. But I give this place a 5 star for being such a friendly small town donut shop.

Shipleys, DD, krispy creme, etc.. They are good; however if you ever want a fresh, old fashioned doughnut, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, and the doughnuts and kolaches are.. well, to be in business at the same location for almost 40 years speaks for itself I think. A true LaPorte gem.
