Kravin Pho is hands down my favorite spot for authentic pho in Hartford! This is a true family-run gem!!! The mom cooks in the back and you can taste the love and care in every bowl. The broth is rich, flavorful, and everything you’d want from a traditional pho. If you’re looking for the real deal, this is it! Don’t sleep on this place — you will NOT be disappointed!

Randomly found this place passing through town. Super casual place with good food. For appetizers, the Gỏi Cuốn was good. Got the Kravin Phở Special and Bún Thịt Nướng Chả Giò—both tasty with generous portion with lots of meat.

Parking is street parking out front, but I rarely had to park very far away. Always within walking distance. The food is excellent!

I ordered the phở with rare beef (phở tái) – no cilantro, Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê sữa đá), and some hot oil / chili crisp (sa tế) on the side. Hoisin sauce and sriracha were available, as were the typical accoutrements. I also sometimes tossing a little oyster sauce. Usually it’s fish sauce (nước mắm), but here they have oyster sauce, and it is close enough. Really good food!

Really enjoyed some Pho tonight with my husband. Very friendly, and helpful service I had the Kravin special, broth nicely aromatic, oxtail super flavorful, good portions, broth not salty…. yummy. Fresh shrimp & pork spring rolls, nice and plump 🙂 parking lot on left side of bldg.
Will be back to try more dishes!

This place offers high quality meal. Please order Vietnamese sandwich for takeout after the meal because it’s outstanding. The staff would separate those vegetables so the sandwich will not get soggy. The pho broth was well made and was light on salt so it is very refreshing.

Well, as Pho or pronunciated as “Fa,” I’m a lover of this soup and probably tried almost all in CT.

I judge the score based on the broth. This one is pretty good. It seems that it is a slow cook and has a lot of flavors.

The only thing that I’m missing is the chili pepper oil to make it perfect. If you add it to the menu, let me know, and I’ll be happy to go again and judge.

I do recommend this place 100%.

Recommendation: highly recommend to Vietnamese people, who want an automatic meal.
Duck Bamboo Noodle (special – off menu), Special Bun Dac Biet (B1)

Detailed Review:
It’s a Saturday morning, we went to a groceries store and my wife was hungry. We picked Kravin Pho. We parked our car right on treet side, in front of the restaurant. There are two parking lots on the same side with the restaurant (before and after you pass it).
My first impression when I got inside is that the restaurant is clean and roomy. It took 13 minutes for our food to come out, which is reasonable.
– Duck Bamboo Noodle: Very tasty and authentic. Bamboo shoots were plentiful, duck meat was tender, and the bowl was garnished with fried shallots and tons of herbs, completed with ginger fish sauce on the side.
– Special Bun Dac Biet (B1): very authentic and delicious. The spring rolls are crispy, grilled pork is well seasoning. The mixed fish sauce is good. They have everything an authentic Vietnamese grilled-pork noodle should have. I’d give it 10/10 if they have bigger shrimps. But 9/10 this time.
.
My bill total is $36.5 (excludes tips)
.
According to the price, I would say I give Kravin Pho 5/5. If I want to have an authentic Vietnamese meal, I will definitely come back.

First time coming to this place. I tried the Shredded Pork Skin Rolls and really like it. I liked the dipping sauce that came with it as well. The pho was very good too. Nice broth! Perfect for a snowy day. The Vietnamese coffee was very good too. I ordered two cups! You should take a look on the stuff that they sell in the corner too. I got a couple things and liked them all. Very authentic place to eat!

One local Vietnamese recommended me here. The broth of the pho is very good. The ox tail is tender and good flavored. The viet coffee is extra strong compared to others. Very decent. Will come back.
