Great place to grab a sandwich! They offer a selection of cold and hot sandwiches, as well as hot and cold sandwiches ready to go and breakfast burritos. They have all your usual near-the-beach drinks, and a few other things you may need on day to day life. The staff were all friendly, and the sandwich was great and well priced.

Delicious French dip sandwich and I love the au jus! Discovered this place when going to grad school in Santa Cruz and haven’t found anything comparable anywhere else! 5/5

This place is da bomb! My daughter and I both make this are “go to” market when we. are in town! Deke’s is one of the last of the real neighborhood markets. It reminds of a place I used to go to when I was a kid back in Maine.
This morning I stopped by for some creamer for our coffee and started talking to Shane who runs the In Mah Belly Deli in the back corner of the store. Before I knew it, I said good bye to Shane’s brother Steve at the front register and walked out with creamer, two avocado, egg, cheese, potato breakfast burritos and a complimentary small coffee! I usually pick up some hand packed Marriane’s ice cream and a couple of select micro-brewed beers. You can find sandwiches, salads, fruit and much more! Support local!

The BEST French Dip on the west coast
Friendly, convenient neighborhood market & deli. Incredible selection of beer, wine, nonalcoholic drinkables, chips, candy, baked goods etc. Steller group of pleasant staff and Deke himself is a gem.

Sandwhich’s they make are pretty big. I cant eat a big one. So I decided to get the premade turkey sandwhich instead. The gentlemen making the sandwhichs had just made them fresh. It was made the way I like a sandwhich. Fresh ingredients, and I live that it is not drowning in mayo. The staff is friendly and helpful in making a good choice in the deli. You can place your deli sandwhich order with the order form at deli counter, which is located on the left side in the back.

Best sandwiches in Santa Cruz! I recommend the Hippie Tri-Tip, so good, but I’ve had many of the other ones and have never been disappointed. This place is not to be underestimated, if you are hungry, this is the place to be!
