Oh my god, I’m going to vomit. Actually I did puke back up in my napkin. Where do I begin? Yes we were seated fast and that’s nice. Waitress was nice except she never CAME BY?? Had to go up to bar to ask for refills on water!! (There were 4 of us). We got 3 chicken pasta and 1 steak. No complaints about the steak, but OH MY GOD THE PASTA we found not 1, but 2 hairs in 2 separate pasta dishes. The chicken in all of us literally crunched in our mouths. Everyone’s pasta was like-warm at best. One of my guests also requested to have extra spices on hers and another requested no parm so they didn’t actually care for her request of spices and the other for no parm as they put no parm on anyone’s. I spit the black hair and pasta into my napkin that had to go scrap my tongue in the bathroom. After we had to go to the bar to get water refills, our waitress could care less for us. We had to call her over cause my fork had crap all over it. She could not care less about us. We still tipped damn $30 for shitty service and TERRIBLE FOOD. DO NOT GO HERE or at least be ready for hair in your food and DONT GET THE PASTA!

I’ve eaten here In the past and liked it but I ate here tonight 6/16/22 and the only thing that I enjoyed was the beer battered mushrooms which were delicious. My steak a queen ribeye just had no flavor what so ever. I ate half of it and brought the other half home to my dog which it cost me $42. The loaded baked potato was average and barely warm. My wife got red fish and loved it. I have a couple more pics I will post later

The Kennel Club was recommended by a co-worker. I don’t think I ever would have found the place without them. I get down to Mississippi a couple times a year for work, and Tuesday through Thrusday, I’m going to eat the The Kennel Club every night.
I’ve tried a number of things on the menu. Here are my favorite things:

Fried Green Tomatoes
Chargrilled Oysters
Main course:
Crab Stuffed Filet Mignon
Shrimp and Grits (this is favorite of mine wherever I go, and the best I’ve had)
Dessert:
Brown Butter Cake (There are nights I’ll go in and just eat this. It’s a must have!!!)
The services are all nice and attentive.

The best blackened shrimp I’ve ever put in my mouth! Filet mignon was cooked to perfection at med/well. The brown butter cake, well just know you better get it! Amazing!! We went on a Thursday night so it wasn’t crowded at all. This is a bar so consider that if you have kids with you!

We ate here last night and it was amazing so we decided to come back tonight well we waited 45 minutes for our steak. Had to send it back cause it wasn’t cooked right – when she brought it back the outside was burnt and the inside was overcooked. She suggested they could cook us a whole new steak – no we left as we are not waiting 30+ minutes for another steak!! SO disappointed!!! Will wait to return here.

The restaurant is very family friendly with amazing choices. Staff is very courteous and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Prices are reasonable and ample parking is available. The building is a bit obscured from the main roadway but easily accessible.

Three women working behind a 20-foot bar and no one ever asked me how my food was or to check if I needed my drink refilled. My steak was way overcooked (it was still good so I ate most of it anyway), but no one there ever bothered to check anyways. They never asked if I needed anything else. Never came to check on me once. I had to ask for a refill and my check. Even though they were all standing within 5 feet of me. Never even said thank you when I left. just handed me my credit card back and that was it.
The paper napkins are a nice touch with a $65 steak too.

This is a hidden gem! I had the filet with the mushroom sauce… OMG so delicious! My wife had the Shrimp and Grits with cream sauce… Also very delicious. I hate to recommend this place because I want to keep this hidden for selfish reasons but, I will share and you will be delighted.
