The service was nice and fast, very casual spot. It wasn’t busy and had plenty of seating.
I really enjoyed my Grilled Chicken Pho and Beef Broth as it was a very large serving, which I am used to. When I ordered grilled chicken I expected grill marks, but it just looked like sautéed chicken. Secondly, the container in which my water was held in had lettuce or something stuck onto the outside which lets me know that they don’t clean the water containers well between guest. The Phô was good tho. It was very very flavorful. The Thai Iced Tea was mid. It tasted like watery tea topped with half & half and could use some sweetened condensed milk.

The spicy beef pho is incredible! it’s not too overbearingly spicy but rather flavorful spice which makes it very addicting. the service is great and the staff is always friendly! the anime/manga everywhere is a very creative touch, my husband and i are regulars here 10/10 recc

We searched this place from Google and then looked at their menu from their website. When we walked in, we felt like we were in the wrong place because the staff and the cooks are all Indian. But eventually when we saw what people are eating then we started ordering.
Con’s:
1. They don’t have a physical menu which is odd because we’re already in the Post Pandemic Age. 2. They let us order also from online by signing the QR code
3. The items they have on there are different from what they have on their website. Prices did not match as well. Ordered Steak and Brisket Pho (website said $13 and their QR code website $14.95). Soup which came in a big plastic decorated bowl (I’d rather eat in a ceramic or glass because plastic containers for hot soups might be a recipe for the big C) and veggies came with the soup.
4. Food – Soup tasted good. Broth was flavorful as well as the brisket. Serving was good enough to be shared by 2 people. Gyoza – forget about ordering this. Didn’t taste like the usual ones you get at a Japanese Resto. Steaks be Shrimp- ($13 in their website – $14.95 from their QR code website) – Very oily and it did not taste like something you can eat at a restaurant.
Pros – free parking (if you’re lucky to find one in their small strip).
Overall, we won’t come back at this place. On the way, there were police blocked roads which made us be concerned about our safety. We were hungry that’s why we finished our food. But we could’ve just have gone to Chinatown instead where prices could’ve been cheaper. There’s nothing wrong with the Pho soup but like what other reviews mentioned, it kind of does not taste authentic.

First time at Standard Pho. We had excellent service. Checked on multiple times. The restaurant itself was super cute they had anime covers on the wall. The portion sizes for the Pho were huge! Perfect for 2 people to share. Had the Spicy Chicken Pho and the Beef Brisket Summer Rolls. The Pho came out piping hot, which we love. The peanut sauce that came with the summer rolls was delicious it had a sweetness to it- add some sriracha and it’s perfect. Also had the Chicken Lollipops. They took their time cooking the wings which is appreciated some places don’t throughly cook wings. These wings also came out super hot and the sauce with it was good too. Would come again to try other menu items.

I was looking forward to eating a bowl of Pho Tai Dac Biet from Standard Pho, however my pick-up order is lacking in both quality and freshness. The cilantro leaves are yellowed and smell unappetizing. The basil leaves are moldy and the bean sprouts are slimy.

They gave me a wedge of lemon, instead of lime, with my order. That is incorrect, as authentic Vietnamese Pho needs lime in the recipe, not lemon. The sauces included are not the standard sauces found in quality Pho restaurants (only packets and a to-go cup of mashed chili instead of the chili oil that I had requested when ordering over the phone).

Sadly, the broth was watery and missing the savory beef flavor that is expected in a bowl of Pho. I felt that the portion size was inadequate for the $13 they charged me, considering that a much more palatable bowl of Pho can be found anywhere else in the Chicago metropolitan and suburban areas. While the service was prompt and friendly enough, with a somewhat welcoming interior ambience, Standard Pho has failed to simply provide an enjoyable meal.

Overall, this turns out to be a mostly disappointing experience and I would avoid this location for take-out or delivery options until the food health standards are improved to an acceptable level.

Perhaps, eating in would have been the better option based on the reviews, or, they were simply having an off day. Either way, I will seek elsewhere to fufill my eating endeavors.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars.

New pho stop on the west side. If you’re looking for a quick eat and craving pho, recommend this new place that just opened up. It’s decorated with Anime stickers and manga and is a counter style restaurant. There’s free parking, a small lot out front. The service was great, the gentleman who took our order was very chatty and always checked in on us and how the food was even though it’s counter service. The portion for the pho is huge. Was able to share it among 2 people. Good comes out quick. Support your local AAPI owned restaurants. Their Thai ice tea is brewed by tea leaves so you don’t get the artificial powder taste some other places do. The spring rolls were generously filled.

Update: the quality is not the same anymore

Delicious food! I got the iced sea salt coffee, shrimp summer rolls, and pho dac biet (combo with steak, meatball, brisket, tendon). The coffee was strong, the summer rolls were fresh, and the pho was flavorful. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

I’ve been to plenty of pho restaurants and this place by far has the best broth! They even have an option for spicy broth which was so good. I also had the strawberry green tea which was delicious. The food came out very quick and the server was kind. Definitely my new fav pho place

From someone who is Vietnamese, this is a pretty legit Vietnamese restaurant to get pho, especially for the area. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (Special Pho Combo), I went traditional and opted out of their ‘spicy beef broth’

The service is different here, and there is very little to no interaction with the staff. All orders and payment are done through the QR code at your table.

If you drive, there is a parking lot available with very limited spaces. There is plenty of street parking on the side streets.
